I think one of the things I love about these stories is that scenes which might in other context be dismissed as "fluff", such as "Draco & Luna sitting in a tree" [smirk], are demonstrably nothing of the sort: they are vital character-building elements and as such work perfectly.

I looked for that "super-long songfic", but couldn't find it: am I looking in the wrong places?

Ah yes, I remember the line now. I have (and the shows I've been in) have referred to that as simply the 'Prologue' which is how it is also listed in my few recordings in the sleeve notes.

Scott

I'm not normally one to nit pick (especially when this chapter has been up for so long!) but.... :P you've got quite a few errors with regards to Joseph with regards to the characters that sing songs and even the song titles.

First off the ranks, Ron, you have him singing 'ONe More Angel In Heaven'. You have stated that his character is Levi, when in the show Ruben sings this song.

Second, I don't know where you get the song 'You Are What You Feel' from, in all the productions I have seen and been in, there is no song with that title, let alone the words.

Third, Fleur singing 'Those Canaan Days'. You have her playing Ruben, when it is actually Simeon.

I also wouldn't call the song 'Potiphar' as a duet between the narrator and Potiphar.

In your author notes, you claim Luna and Draco sing a song together, However, Mrs Potipar (Luna's character) does not even sing in the entire musical unless she sings as part of the female ensemble.

You also have the words that Harry is singing just before the scene falls down wrong.

Sorry to be so picky, but it really jolted me out of the whole story line for those moments.

regards,
Scott

I think that we are working from different versions of the show. I'm away from home at the moment and can't check on this, but as soon as I get back, I will investigate.

The song "You Are What You Feel" is the title I have for the opening monologue by the Narrator. "If you think it, want it, dream it, then it's real; you are what you feel."

I love the way you sorted Tonks and Charlie out. Clever. I rather like the musical though question its usefulness as part of the Triwizard Championship. It's good fun.

Having never seen the play on stage, I guess there are differences between the movie and the play. From what I saw in the movie, Draco and Luna wouldn't really sing a song together.

Also from the movie, Any Dream Will Do comes between You Are What You Feel and Jacob and Sons.

good chapter - loved how you were able to expose Crouch as missing and raise Percy a 1/4 step off rock bottom in the same scene.

Any way to examine the cable for spell residue?

Thanks for doing such a good job with all the storylines you are interweaving

warm regards

Love the chapter. Percy's plot is very puzzling, and left hanging. Grrr. So he saw a dead body. But then they find Barty Crouch up in the bedroom. So whose body was it? No one seemed to answer that question yet.

How long does Polyjuice last? Is the new person not really Crouch? If not, then he'll turn back in an hour. I don't think they can make polyjuice from stored parts. If they could, then in Canon there would have been no reason to keep the original Moody alive. (Well, except for the occasional questioning.

good job on talking through the Joseph story.

Poor Harry, though. He's still being quite the idiot about Cho. Bad enough that he still even looks at her, but to still be _wanting_ her when she's clearly with Cedric? uhh, people can be silly.
