This is sort of a review for the entire series thus far. Because I'm lazy, and can't be bothered to review every chapter...

The *really* fun thing about your series is that it's totally believable. I mean, generally, I hate OCs. And your story is chock full of them. So logically, I should hate it.
I'm not saying that I do! Because I totally don't!

Your characters, though, are totally believable. I read your stories, and then grab the book and go, "Wait! Why is Harry with the Dursleys?! Where are Danger and Aletha and Meghan?! What happened to the Pack?! Where did it goooo?!?!?!"

Which, I know, is kind of scary.
But then, I never really liked the books anyway. You write it so much better.

The trials and hardships you put the Pack through seem totally natural, like of COURSE that would happen to them. The custody trial, for instance, and Hermione and Draco's twin-ship and whatnot. It all seems totally real. And when I think about it, there's no way that I would have been able to even think up half this stuff, let alone write it so that people believe it! But you write it so believably that... Well... Arg. If I try to finish that sentence, I'll make an idiot of myself. More so than I already have, anyway.

And I'm once again reaching the stage of a review where I stop saying things that might have meaning buried somewhere deep within and start jabbering pointlessly, regardless of all the things I still want to say.
I hate this stage.
But, seriously, I love your stories sooooo much! Please, keep up the good work!

This is better than I expected; I felt real trepidation at continuing to read your story. I'm glad you aren't setting up a repeat for 'every canon problem JKR ever invented', but it still felt like you are setting up for a lot of heavy, drawn-out angst, and I hate that with a passion. Seeing the character(s) I identify with continually getting tormented and hammered down is not what I need in a story. My own 'Way of the Author' is to put new spins on old things as well, but recycling old angst in a new way is just going to give me the same old feelings of depression, which isn't any good.
I liked and was pleasantly surprised by Harry being able to smell their emotions and deduce their motivations from that. I only hope that it will not remain an insignificant event, but will have repercussions and eventually lead to a somewhat better understanding between Harry and the Dursleys, at least Petunia and Dudley.

There's still a lot of things I hated about book five in canon. Many of them are still possible to step right into again, and right now I don't trust you to avoid at least a majority of these things, which I see as pitfalls. For God's sake, at least get Harry out of that inane 'push away all your friends so they won't get hurt' mindset. Why you felt the need to revisit that plot point which is a staple of all the bad fifth year angst fics out there, I'll never know. Well, at least you've given me some hope that things might not turn out as bleak as the last chapters had made it appear.

What was the tune that the fish song was sung to? I was almost to think Californication, but the Peppers didn't release that until '99/2000, did they? What I want to know is where Umb*tch is - I read chapterwise, rather than going through it in one go, and I've lost track of her! Have you finished the main plotpoints yet, or are you still writing Facing Danger up? I know it takes a while to lay the track, once you've decided on the destination (and starting point) as it were. Just a matter of personal curiosity.
