That was a very lovely chapter. It is so very nice for Draco to get a chance, and it's very Pack-like to take him in immediately. I love the way you deal with it: everyone knows to be careful, Draco is excited and scared, and isn't perfectly accepting. It's a very good mix.I love this line from Sirius: " He’s dying for someone to touch him, but he’s afraid that same someone will suddenly decide, for no reason at all, to hurt him. And from his life experience, that’s a perfectly reasonable thing to think. " It's so important to recognize that people with some type of trauma aren't acting oddly because they are dumb or they don't know how to be rational; rather, everything they do made perfect sense, and kept them safe, at one point in their life.

The funniest moment, for me, was Sirius' profound annoyance at finding himself back in the manor. He's just so done, he can't bother to be curious or worried, just annoyed. Wonderful. That Dumbledore already knows that the Pack is likely behind Draco is a close second.

Little Draco is freakin' adorable. All the cubs are at this age, but Draco's so cute right now even with the flashes of his canon self that show up at this stage. He speaks so clearly most of the time and then a word like "bringed" makes me wanna go "Awwwwww" and hug him close.

And I loved how they kicked Lucy's butt in the dream (yep, I'm calling him that from now on because he deserves no respect).

Got too caught up to review for a while. :D

Just for the record, because I notice that line every time I read this, multitasking is a word. :-)

I love the way you write believable dialogue for characters of all ages. My favorite moment:
____

"Wow," Draco breathed. "I heared about you. You famous."

Harry shrugged. "I know. I haveta be a warrior an’ fight evil. But first I gotta grow up."
____

So cute!

Ooh, I'm excited to see the Daily Prophet article! Great chapter, and I can't wait to see what Remus and Dumbledore talk about.

::chuckling:: I do like the touch of Lucius being able to see his unconcious body, and witness the Aurors bursting into the room.
;-D

The way they dealt with Malfoy was excellent. What I liked even more was Lucius flipping Moody off at his trial - such a mistake.

I like the whole idea of the Pack. But I really think you rush your plot to much. Using these prophetic dreams and such. But you do tell a good story.

You're very good at writing Draco, and the adults, trying to help him. Great chapter.

"What I remember is you flipping him off at your trial, after you were acquitted,"...

That's a great line.

That chapter was so long that I got extra lost in the story. What a wonderful thing to happen.

Sirius Black (quoting the black safecracker for "Die Hard"): Oh my God, the cornerback IS *toast*! And look who's snapping the manacles on UnLuscious Lucius; none other than Master Auror Alastor Moody! Albus old Headmaster, you don't even know HALF the story of how Lucius Malfoy was dropped like a bad knut....

Ch. 21 - - I am not sure, but this may be the best revenge on Lucius I have read. I want him dead, and he could easily be released later in the story in one of the canon or your manufactured prison breaks. So Harry, or anyone of the good guys could really get to kill him in the future.

It is impossible to not feel for a child that is abused, so even Draco can turn out good.

Terrific - redeem them before they need to be impossibly redeemed.

Damn, you're good. This chapter made me cry. Poor Draco. Good job setting atmosphere. I can already tell it's one of your strenghts, if not the greatest of them all.
I'm very suspicious of every new author that shows up on this site network, wondering if he or she can provide the same kind of quality storytelling. Having read the first half of this story, I can tell that you fit right in with these legends. Welcome to Fanficauthors.net!
