I'm not sure how I feel after reading this chapter. I was a good read but once again Danger is all I can think about.

You limited her power but then made her the sec. heir of the rest of the founders. As of now this doesn't mean much but I have this strange feeling that is going to change.

Did you originally intend for her to be such a perfect example of a Mary-Sue(I hate this term but it's the only one that fits Danger)?

Yes, I intentionally wrote something into my story that most readers hate, abhor, and will run miles to avoid, because  I secretly don't want anyone to read or like my writing! How clever of you to figure it out!

Something about this chapter gave a really weird idea for a Dangerverse AU. Unfortunately, I can't write well enough to do it myself, but others may consider this a challenge.

The idea is a way for Padfoot to truly mend fences with Severus. He's already taken one important step: he apologized. But I have a feeling that the marauders pranked Snape unmercifully when they were in school together, and some of the pranks were very mean-spirited.

So my idea is for Sirius (or maybe Aletha) to take "Professor Grumpy" under his/her wing and teach him how to prank. Ground rules (proposed to Snape by the teacher):

1. Open season on the existing marauders.
2. No mean-spirited pranks on the cubs. Before pranking the cubs, Severus is to run the idea past his mentor to see if it's OK.
3. Sirius counts up how many mean-spirited pranks the Marauders played on Snape. After each mean-spirited prank that Snape plays on Sirius (or Aletha), Sirius tells him that it _was_ mean, and how many more he is allowed to "get even". If Snape can remember more that Sirius forgot, that gets added to the count he is allowed.
4. Sirius/Aletha won't retaliate for normal pranks, but a mean-spirited one may bring a prank-back -- but the return will be fair.
5. Each time Snape successfully pranks the cubs, he has to treat them no worse than his other students for one week -- unless the prank him back, then he can go back to being mean to them in class.

After all, it's not as if Snape isn't smart. He just never learned how to prank, and he should be able to.

It would be interesting to see where this leads.

In comparison to canon, this stands to be such a better year.

I cannot imagine how you will make this work even loosely with canon. No Lucius to pass Ginny the diary. How will this happen?

Oh yes, Nott took stuff from Malfoy Manor. Now who will open the chamber?

Fascinating!

That was awesome. I really thought it was going to be Remus for DADA when Meghan said that that both were wrong - meaning that the teacher wasn't *just* a he or a she, but something more. Oops.

*gets back to reading*
