Here is some criticism of this wonderful series: Its AMAZINGLY annoying how overprotective the adults are over the kids... it should be them alone while at hogwarts..this makes the adventures seem risk free and un satisfying.

I think 'oh Shit' is sufficient here as a comment. Poor Harry was only trying to help Justin, after all. Poor kid. Something that comes so naturally to him, how awful to have to hide it.

So, Dumbledore may have been wrong about the 'other heir of Slytherin'. It could have been Neville. Couldn't it? After all, the 'H' on his father's ring... Well, that's a spoiler, for anyone who works it out. But, I do know one thing. Aletha's wrong about Ravenclaw blood not being on her side of the family. A reminder: "The Eagle-Hearted Truth must give the Star the sound that helped him live." Remember that line? Make of it what you will, to me it means that Aletha is a Blood Heir herself, even though she doesn't realise it.

Yet another excellent fic. I am really enjoying this universe you've crafted. Thank you.

Oh, you clever, clever author. You roped me right in, didn't you?

Sneeeaky! (And I mean that as a compliment.)

I hope you can manage to redeem Dudley. While I despise the stupid, bullying oaf (and wrote a whole story once just so one of my OCs could pound the daylights out of him; it's Nick Cleveland and the Pig in a Wig at ff.n and fictionalley) I also pity him deeply---and more so in this AU. He didn't have any more say in his upbringing than Harry did, and was, in his way, just as abused and maltreated.

Glowing report!! Definitely a deserving companion to, "Living with Danger!" I cannot wait to move on to the third part!! Woot.

Fascinating-- a great twist on the usual Philosopher's Stone Quirrelmort scene. Nice job!

Hehe, the plot thickens...

Aaaaandddd we're off! To another amazing start (Yes, yes, I know... Chapter 2 isn't exactly the "start")!

I can't wait to see what spin you'll put on this year--the adjunct professor idea was brilliant and makes a lot of sense since you're combining the year 1 and 2.

As I said, can't wait!

I really like this story, and I think it's one of the most original stories I've read that comes from when Harry and all the rest were kids. I like the ongoing Snape pranks, especially the chocolate one. And here I thought that Sirius was growing up.

I'm dying to know what's gonna happen in the third book - Pettigrew be the Prisoner of Azkaban? No wait, he's been kissed, right? oooh!!!!! Lucius! But's he's been in Azkaban for ages, shouldn't he be crazy by now? questions questions!

And I'm seeing a Redemption!Theodore Nott coming, which will be cool.

And you changed my mind about Percy gettting taken. It turned out really well.

I wondered for a while after I read the first book why Harry never challenged Riddle's order's to the basalisk.... and I'm glad Fawke's didn't heal Sangre's eyes - that would have been a problem.

Brilliant combination of Norbert and Hagrid's arrest. Neville's magic is cool too - can everyone do it? If not, it might mean Neville's a blood heir...

Yamainu posted a comment on Wednesday 17th January 2007 12:45pm

It is Percy, isn't it? Is he the one giving Nott the orders?

"I’m surprised Harry lets you get away with that line about the lynx," said Sirius later. "Or doesn’t he know what it means yet?"

This sentence didn't make sense. I think the comment about the lynx got lost somewhere in the editing, and it makes this whole paragraph seem to come out of nowhere.

Good job on the chapter though!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

The comment about the lynx is in one of my one-shots. "Tell Us A Story" in A Dangerverse Datebook. I should probably mention that in the A/N.

Please, don't let it be Percy. Ginny getting taken into the chamber is a major part of her character, one of the main reasons she's good for Harry. Although, considering he hasn't had as much darkness here as in the books, maybe that's not needed AS much.

I'm not sure I like the idea of a Pride as much as a Pack. It doesn't have the same emotions attatched, I guess. One (lazy) guy, lotsa hardworking girls, and cubs the male will eat if they're not his...

But their Gryffindors. So....

I hate Dudley.
