Sylphs. Wind-spirits are called sylphs. Where was that bit of information hiding five minutes ago?

MercuryBlue posted a comment on Saturday 14th October 2006 9:51am

So Nata's the Luna-equivalent, then? I'd've figured you'd go for a dryad, or a wind-spirit, whatever they're called, but naiad works too. Especially given how well you make Draco/Luna work, when before I read Dangerverse I'd've thought anyone seriously suggesting Draco/Luna was crazy.

Not that you're not crazy.

Why do I have the suspicion that Aletha's teaching Meghan bits of magic at home in this story has to do with Hogwarts in London from WWS?

I notice we haven't seen a Neville-equivalent yet. Unless that's Oren?

Now you've no reason to be teasing me about my LSSR review at all.

Definately worth the wait! I love the way you are showing us the hearts of our four wayword wizards. The growth of each of them as they mature to become the Kings and Queens that Narnia needs, as well as the wizards that our world needs, is marvelous to see.

I eagerly look forward to the next installment as they become closer to their new world.

i've only just gotten into this story, and while I've read the lion the witch and the wardrobe, its been QUITE a while. i like the way this story is turning out...and draco's personality is fascinating! i can't wait to read more!

MercuryBlue posted a comment on Saturday 14th October 2006 5:37am

Yeah, it was worth it.

It's kind of early to tell, but it seems like you're setting the foursome up with pairings with OC's. I was expecting them to pair off within the group, so they wouldn't be leaving anyone behind when they returned home. Regardless of pairings, I'm enjoying this as much or more than the main Dangerverse, so I hope your muse lets you update a little more frequently. Keep up the good work.

That was beautiful. Honestly, I really liked it. You're right about it not needing to be amazingly long to get the point across. *sigh* It's nice to read something that I actually enjoy reading. Cheers.

What a sweet little fic - it combines two of my favourite worlds - Harry Potter and Narnia. I do hope you will continue with this fic as it is most certainly original with the Dangerverse mixed in as well.

Response to the review by Meteoricshipyards:

Draco didn't slip out of the vow, did he, Anne? He just made sure it was phrased in such a way that it didn't affect him, didn't he, Anne? The jinx would hit anyone who joined the White Wizard--well, Draco isn't about to join the White Wizard, is he, Anne? Because he already did join the White Wizard, and he made sure the jinx wasn't set up to hit anyone who had already joined the White Wizard, didn't he, Anne?

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Breathe into a paper bag... slowly now, in and out... I'm going to need to start being a little trickier with you around, aren't I?

I liked how _most_ of the children feel unworthy to be kings and queens.

One thing about Meghan in this story - she hasn't seemed Slytherin, and her hugging the queen seems more insecure? than what I would expect of a Slytherin. But maybe that's my view of Slytherins.

I liked how Draco's wish came back to bother him, "Your Highness." :-) Wonder if that's foreshadowing other wishes he has.

Good story. Thanks for updating.

Draco was never very good at listening to voices on EITHER side of the fence, was he? :) So few other fanfic writers seem to GET that :P

I find myself even fonder of Meghan in this than I am in the original Dangerverse. She's had a much harder life, and is quite believably mercurial... very skillfully done.

Draco is sliding slowly into a hole. He does not realise how deep that hole goes. I am not certain he can climb out. What of the White wizard? I don't think he is forgiving as the royalty of Narnia. Will there be retrobution to Draco for not heading the wizard's instructions?

I've been trying to wait to see more of this before reviewing, but your heartfelt request means I can't help but review. :P

When I got the first email notification that you'd started a new story, I read its synopsis (or whatever the correct term was), saw it was a crossover, and immediately wrote it off. Pretty much every crossover I've read has been just... bad. Really bad actually.

So, while I really enjoy your other works, I didn't bother reading. Then when the first real chapter (the one that's not the prologue I mean) was posted, I decided to just give it a chance. After all, your other writing tells me that you have some real skill, and I'd hate to miss out on a good story because I'm just prejudiced against crossovers.

So I started reading. And reading. And reading. When I was young I was a fan of the Narnia series, but kind of ... well, grew out of it you might say. I moved onto harder, stranger fantasy and science fiction. This story rekindled my interest in the original's, so I reread the magician's nephew the other night.

Now, as to the real review for your story. I'll be interested to see how you mesh the more natural magic of the Narnia universe with the more artifical and controlled magic of the Harry Potter universe. Additionally, I'll be interested in seeing if Draco is somehow redeemed. I could see him going the way of Edmund and being redeemed, but then I can also see him being the ass he is throught Harry Potter and throwing his lot in with the White Wizard, Alsan's influence be damned. Perhaps yank another human out of Hogwarts to fill the gap? I know it seems quite unlikely, but I still wait and wonder patiently.

There's two G's in Diggory when it's Cedric's last name, but there's only supposed to be one G in Digory when it's Professor Kirke's first name.

Mysteries, mysteries....

Why did the white wizard want the children to drink the water? It doesn't seem to have hurt them in any way, and may have even helped.

Did Draco experience the same feeling of shame when he drank the water that Harry did?

For a moment I thought that was Sirius the dog, but then remembered this is post 4th year, Sirius hasn't gone through the veil yet (although having it come out in Narnia is an interesting idea.)

The water fight was good. How did Draco feel during it? I get the impression that he's never had a chance to be a child, and wonder what he thought when just having fun?

Good story. Thanks for writing.

Tom A.

(PS, you don't have to answer my questions in a reply - I'd much rather get the answer in the story.)

I take it the present Kings and Queens are modeled after the Pack-parents.

Curiouser and curiouser. I like... not yet as much as DwD, but it could happen! Thanks for the update.
