That was so unfair. I am so pleased I don't have to wait although that's why the reviews are probably going to be so short and intermittent! Love this.

I love the way you've mirrored Remus & Tonks dying just after their baby was born, which of course mirrored Harry's start, with Evanie and Peter. Sad but great. Loving this as always.

Loved the chapter.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cats. I hope everything turned out better than expected and if not, my deep condolences.

That's a really, really good ending to the leadership thing. Padfoot is a beta, Remus may be an alpha but he's also a werewolf, and that was just genius. Love it.

1. Easy - hope Draco is bad, dismay good. 2. Real!Draco would be worried about his family, fake!Draco would be seeing them as a weakness to exploit. 3. They'd better! Now I'm going to have it backwards.

Great chapter. I'm loving reading through this in one go although it probably makes me a bad reviewer. So much fun to be had...

I was so hoping that somehow, someway, he wasn't dead. That was so very sad and well done. I can't believe this is the end of the story that started so long ago! I didn't expect to lose Graham at all. Gorgeously written, thank you all the same.

Oh that was a mean cliffhanger! I loved the detail of going back to early years Defense courses for him to swap it. Loved the founders cornerstones idea too.

Congratulations to her sister. Oh this was so lovely. I'm so glad that Draco is being cared for and looked after, even if he is separated. And we're finally getting answers to Luna's vision!

Oh that's so sad! I love the mirror twin image, even if I don't agree with the metaphor completely as there's hope in a beginning without an ending too.

Excellent chapter. I love the way you've twisted it all up again and moved the story on so quickly. There's a real sense of build to the finish now!

Dangerverse Remus and I have the same birthday, albeit mine was several years later. That might even have been one of the things that hooked me from the title of the first chapter. I love how you ended the same way you began.

Now, I guess it's time to re-read all of the AU's, which I haven't read in years, or maybe go re-read the Chronicles of Narnia - all your references have made me want to read those books again.

Thank you Anne! I will move on to your original books soon, once I've given myself a breather.

I've been wondering about William ever since Alex mentioned that he killed Salazar! I never saw this one coming - when we found out Remus was heir of Gryffindor for Voldemort, I thought that they were both heirs, but when Harry removed the blood link with Remus, giving up his power, I knew it had to be true. So Harry goes from having the powers of 2 heirs to none.

Oh, and I kept thinking, ever since Harry took the blood bond with Remus, that he would one day accidentally turn someone into a werewolf. Never foresaw this, though.

I must admit, I didn't know what to believe. Although I mostly believed Draco was alive, somehow posing as Lucius, various things (especially seeing Draco and Luna at the Founder's Hogwarts) made me think that maybe he was dead after all, but Lucius somehow had little Draco in his head, or something else compelling him to act the way he did. I really thought that maybe Draco and Lucius had swapped bodies, which would have been just awful - he would be a werewolf, and old! But you came through, and it all turned out for good, mostly.

It seems a bit strange to me that the cubs are sitting around swapping stories while Danger is laying there dying!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well, they're a bit shaken by some very good and very bad things layering thick and fast on top of each other. Their behavior isn't going to be entirely rational because they're not entirely rational at the moment! Who would be?

It takes quite a bit to get me to cry. I didn't cry for the deaths of most of the characters, but having them all come back and getting to see them one last time, that got to me. Very well done. I loved the final scene, where each member of the Pack and Pride is tested one last time, and the little unborn girls coming to save the day as well! Well done.

Your comment in the author's note about "bending the laws of chance" made me think. I have to say, one thing that I found a bit unbelievable, and not thoroughly enough explained, is the way that Lucius seemed to become Voldemort's favorite death eater after losing his magic, and that he doesn't use legilimency on him or question his motives when he is acting so strangely.

The reason I can't fault you for this, is because I too want the characters to live, and to have a happy ending. This is why I started reading Living with Danger in the first place back in 2007, shortly after DH came out. I wanted to read a story where Harry Potter would have a chance to grow up happy, to have parent-figures who loved him and who didn't die.

I'm a sucker for a happy ending, especially when everything seemed lost. And of course, all the prophecies and foreshadowing, some of which I was able to guess the meaning of, others not so much. All the planning and detail and hints that you snuck in throughout the stories. I've been reading non-stop from the beginning for the last couple of weeks, and I still didn't remember some of the prophecies and events from years ago that hinted at the end. Thank you Anne, for everything!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

My reasoning for why Voldie didn't question "Lucius" a little more is as follows: Voldie has only two gods other than himself. One is power and the other is success. Lucius brought him power, in the form of his research and in the form of Starwing who could very possibly be used as leverage against Pack or Pride, and he definitely brought him success as having (seemingly) killed one of Harry's inner circle and suborned another. To my way of thinking, Voldie would be willing to forgive a few quirks from someone who had that much to offer him.

"Society for Combat Approximation," huh? Well, I have to admit it's better than "Society for Creative Anachronism".

A lovely ending, even if I do have a little trouble telling the "clans" apart or figuring out who is associated with which. Remus = lion, Harry = wolf, Ginny = cat, Draco = fox... After that, I get a little confused.

You have built a monument more lasting than bronze, and your kleos will never be destroyed.

Well done! It's been an amazing ride, and over the past eight years or so, the Dangerverse has been a wonderful and amazing place to be. You've brought it to a worthy end, and the last few chapters were the right mix of heartwarming, humorous, and fantastic.

Hail the PAGE, and I can't wait for your next story. :)

SCA! You fit the SCA into Dangerverse! AND Naked Quidditch match!

And those ending words ... *sniff*

How long have you been planning to end with that line?
