I keep coming back for more of your writing because I'm masochistic and like torturing myself with cliffhangers. ^_^
Seriously, though, you write like some of my favorite published authors and its a style and fluidity as well as character depth I've rarely seen even among published works (trust me, I've read a LOT of stuff, too). I'm well out of my Harry Potter phase, but I keep coming back for more of your stuff because I love your characters.
Danger is real (pun TOTALLY intended) and relateable. Aletha is interesting. Meghan is sooooo loveable. The relationships have an almost tangible flavor to them and the way you develop your characters is realistic. The balance of fluff and angst in your stories is perfectly balanced and great grammer and puncuation don't hurt one bit (I recently bought a book that made me want to throw it in a fire because it had so many errors).
Aside from that, I also love the twists you add to an already well written series. Its the little things like Merlin's history that really add depth to the world you've created(remade?watever).
And now that I've spent the last ten minutes boring everyone to death, I'm going to go back to rereading your other works. (Yes, I am that totally hooked on your writing that I read my favorites three or four times. I, too, admit to cheching fa.net and ff.net obsessively for updates. ^_^).

umm.... ummm, no really what do you want me to say to that. I'm in shock, Anne how could you do this to me. To all your loyal fans. I'm going to go cry now. Franks DEAD! Leatha and Sirius MISSING! You should be thankful that I can't kill you.

OK, killing you definitely takes second place to doing the happy dance because you aren't dead. And having done the happy dance because you aren't dead, I cannot then kill you, because then I would get whiplash from having to do the happy dance and the sad dance too close together.
So I guess you get a pass on the whole killing-the-author thing.
This time.
Love the chapter, hate the way I sat staring into space, running the chapter title through my head over and over until my brain finally spit back "When the hurly-burly's done" and I tracked the quote to it's lair. I am old enough that Google is still not my conditioned reflex when I need to attribute something. Ancient, that's me.
Anyway, must dash, just finished queueing on our MMORPG after an hour and a half.

Great chapter, as always... though I must admit, the cliffies are starting to drive me mad!
I can't even begin to describe how thrilled I was to open my indox and find a notification that FD had updated. Although I am not always the best at reviewing, I have been following the Dangerverse since DwD began, and I have loved every second of it.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful universe for us to read about. I look forward to seeing another update notice whenever you choose to surprise us with a new chapter!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
I shall try to make it come soon, and resolve the cliffies (though I fear this is far from the last of them) even sooner. You're welcome!

....well, hell, now that I've read this I'm EAGER to pack up and move apartments just to give myself something else to think about!
You evil woman, you. XD So much love for the cliffhangers! Happy birthday!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Eh, moving's not so bad. I just did it myself, and now have a nice pair of cats and a friendly roommate to show for it. One of them is in my lap as I type... the cat, not the roommate. Really. I promise.

Wonderful work, as usual. Awful cliffie... also as usual.
I'm going to get the pitchforks if you don't update soon. Just so you know.
(And happy birthday, by the way.)
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Oh no, halp halp, pitchforks. I am so very frightened.

Pitchfork-weilding is right. Cliff hangers!!!!! I hate them. Happy Birthday, though. I'll be on the lookout for more.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
If you hate them, why are you still reading my writing? *bfeg* Thanks for it whyever you are!

OK, so welcome back, and hurray, new chapter of FD - made me very happy this morning...until I actually read it! And I thought last time's cliffy was a nasty one. So the cubs defeating Voldie, even if it was in a dream, good. Everything else, very very bad. Frank, Penny and Annette - that's just so sad - especially for Neville, Alice and the Weasleys of course. And if that weren't enough we also have a seriously Dark-magic injured Moony and an imprisioned Padfoot, Letha and Percy. Plus the three missing Muggle women, two of whom are related to the DA - and Terry's grandmother is a friend of the Pack as well, correct? So all in all, not very cheery, although, obviously, still brilliant. Why couldn't you post a happy chapter on your birthday?! Happy Birthday, by the way! And I can't think of much else to say, except post again soon, because I have a great need to know what happens next...
Anne B. Walsh replied:
I couldn't post a happy chapter on my birthday because this is the chapter that needed writing next. And you think this is a bad cliffie... just wait. (I love saying that.) More as soon as I can manage!

Happy birthday, Anne! I see you are following the Hobbit tradition of giving presents to others on your birthday. I am grateful, and thus reward you with a review in return, but now I'm greedy and want to know more. And I wouldn't dream of chasing you with a pitchfork - I couldn't expect you to write more if you are running for your life. and I'm all about making things easy for you to write more. I will confess to obsessively checking fanficauthors daily to see if you have updated. Yes, I am really that pathetic. I recently reread all the main Dangerverse just to prepare for this new chapter. I'm trying to work out the latest prophecies and figure out what Amanda Smythe has up her sleeve, and trying to figure out a way out for Draco (which probably won't happen, but I live in hope...).
Nooooooo! I want my happy place back! I knew that Bad Things were going to happen in this chapter. You did warn us, after all. I had a really bad feeling that Penelope and little Annette were done for, and I was worried for Percy, too. But Percy and Sirius and Aletha captured by Voldemort? *sniff* I don't think Sirius will do too well in captivity, expecially if there are Dementors involved. And poor Remus. Where is he being cared for? Since the headmaster didn't mention Ginny and Ron, I hope I can assume that they did not sustain any great hurt. Shouldn't they be in the Heart of Hogwarts to protect them? It's the safest place, isn't it?
I think the Pride did quite well - I just wish that dying in a dream would really would get rid of Voldemort. At first I thought that Harry's pendants had fallen off, but of course, they are spelled to stay on unless the wearer removes them. Good thing that Draco and Hermoine are so resourceful. Smart to make Meghan stay back so Moldiewort couldn't hurt her.
I'll have to read through this chapter a few more times to make sure that I have caught everything, so you may hear back from me.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Yes, but I hope I can generate new chapters faster than once a year! You're not greedy, or no more so than the rest of my readers. You're quite right about Sirius, but do remember, he is not without friends. Ginny and Ron, and Luna and Neville, for that matter, are unharmed. They didn't come to Hogwarts because Dumbledore feels the less travel at the moment, the better, and nobody can get into #12 physically to hurt them. I love hearing back, so please read and review away!

I love this story, and have read through the whole thing at least three times now. Any idea when it'll be updated?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I see the connection now. Either Amanda is a time traveling spirit thing and she was originally Salazar's daughter or the curse thing gives each of its descendents the memories of their ancestors past. Or its something else entriely and I'm going to be surprised as hell.
I don't have all the parts the that particular peice of the puzzle, but I think I'm beginning to see how Draco dies. And If I'm right, then I will find some way to slap Amanda into another dimension full of piranahs and where the "prey" never dies.

Soooo...Is it bad that I still want to kill Kreacher at this point? I really could read about a piano falling on him and laugh my head off.

I have read all 3 previous stories you have made, and other fanfics from other authors such s yourself, and I have a few ideas from those stries and a few ideas from your stories. first your stories. in one of your earlier prophicies, you said "cat, dragon, pheonix bright, and raven once redeamed to light," or something like that. well, since you have alreay killed off th dragon symbol, and you said you would be following the 6th year storline, that would mean youare going to kill at least 1 of the remaining 3. I was also wondering what the hek took you so long to say tht the Bloody Baron was Salavar Slytherin's ghost. fromanother story, "A Summer of Change," it mentions in there a spell power target range. I think you chuld use that in the DA meetings. also, you are haveing them only train for combat basedon school grounds. what happens whe they are attacked at home? you have to have them get some kind of training for that style of combat. just about every story I have found says that J.K. Rowlings 6th year book is crap and so is the 7th, but the 7th got me interested. I read it once, and then I forgot about my question. the deathly hallows, the way they were passed down, was the rock that allowed you to speak and see the dead passed down the family line like th cloak was? if you have the answer, please email me at zyvanume911@yahoo.com, because if it was passed down like the cloak, that makes Voldimort a blood relative of Harry's, and that makes a loop-hole in blood magic wards. from what I have read, blood seals can be passed through by those of blood relation OR those who intend on doing no harm to the one whose blod was used in the blood ward. oh, and before I forget, I have 2 things to mention. the first is, if he death aters wanted to slow down Harry potter and his fiends, they could just send in a spy into the ministry and say that Harry and friends are illegal, underaged, and unrgistered Animagi.the Ministry would be on them in an instant. the second, is that Draco causeing that green streak on the map and recognizeing the face on th tomb leads me to believe that Draco is somehow a decendent of Salazar, and that is why the Founders say that Draco MUST die, because otherwise it would bring the war anew.please, message me. I have been told by family and friends I read o much into things and think realy wierdly, but I wuld like to know your opinion of my theories.

Just read through your entire series up to this. Absolutely brilliant! I think it may require a second read-through now, just to keep me going until the next chapter. :)

I liked the chapter, but the scene with Nev and his father was difficult to read at points. The wording arrangement sometimes made it hard to visualize what was going on. After re-reading it several times I was able to work out what you were trying to say, but it takes away from the story when I have to do that. Your series is fresh and inventive and I can't wait for the next chapter.

Good chapter but Who is going to die??? Will I be able to wait for the next update??? I hope so.
Please update soon.
Sirius is a complex character. His relationship with Regulus is not one that is written about alot, so I am glad you have added this to your story.
I have enjoyed reading your Danger series (even when I have to reread a couple of chapters to 'catch up'.)
