It's Penny, isn't it. You let Penny die and threw Percy into the depths of despair.......
Oh boy, I've missed this so much but I had to read back a few chaps to remember where the heck we were. :D

Last chapter was being nice. Good Mistress Anne was bringing Kreacher back on scene. Bad Kreacher. Only he was turning out to be not so bad after all.
This chapter's ending is being scary. But the rest of the chapter was being very nice.
We is thanking good Mistress Anne. Anne is being the bestest writer of what wand-users is calling "fanfiction".
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Aww. Thank you, nice house-elf friend!

Nope, once I got locked into the story, I was busy burning through it. One day when I'm in the mood for another massive marathon read-through, I'll likely revisit this series and leave little tidbits along the way.
As for this chapter: Oh dear. Poor Ron and Ginny. And well done with Sirius - I haven't seen too many people explore Sirius' relationship with Regulus.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
If you want to do that, it would be very nice, but there's no necessity. And Ron and Ginny aren't the people in the most trouble...

great chapter!
do people really have to die? i don't like it when people die, makes me sad :(
but i guess it's all for the cause of a good story
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Well, it's a war. People die in wars.

Okay, the Bad Things have officially begun, and of course you left us just when Things were just starting to get Interesting. Evil Author. See, I can use Capital Letters, too.
So, Sirius is upset that he couldn't save his brother, no real news there. Although I do find myself intrigued by whatever it is that Letha planned for their evening; I'm guessing that since this is a T rated story, though, I'll just have to use my imagination. *grins*
That was really funny watching Neville teach his father about the potion pieces. As uncomfortable as that must have been for Neville, I was really impressed with how adult and responsible he taught the DA to be about working with weapons like that. Even though it means I am asking for more Bad Things, I am kind of looking forward to seeing them in action against the Death Eaters.
And finally, oh, dear, poor Penny and Percy. I wonder if our new little Muggleborn witch will survive? I really dislike character death, although I can accept it if it is necessary. I don't think you are such an Evil Author that you would do it gratuitously (although I am wondering about Draco's upcoming demise - that one will hurt). In a way, it is much easier for me to accept death when it comes unexpectedly rather than something that you know is coming ahead of time, like through illness or, in this case, prophecy.
And just so that you don't think I am being maudlin, I just want you to know how impressed I am that this chapter arrived so soon. Let the Bad Things continue posthaste!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
It's more fun to let readers use their imagination that way. Neville has a very wide streak of responsibility. And yes, Penny, Percy, and little Annette are all to be pitied, though for different reasons. Define "gratuitous"--people die in wars, sometimes randomly.

Oh but you are mean, mean and evil! Still love your writing though, of course. Loved the Sirius-Regulus part of the storyline - naturally JK never had to show this side of the story, so Sirius' reaction to Kreacher's tale is very interesting. Will only say that I hope you update soon so that we can find out just how mean and evil you plan to be...
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Mean and evil is fun. And yes, I wanted to see what the relations between the brothers might have been like. More meanness and evilness on the way!

Come one!!!!! I'm getting impatient! You've been working on this for 4 years now. PLEASE hurry up and finish it soon!!!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Please believe me, no one knows that fact better than I. You have my word that I shall honestly endeavor to carry out your wishes.

Lovely chapter. I totally thought they were going to play a prank and ruin things!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Oh, they're too nice to do that... mostly.

Foosh. That was a lot to read all in one gulp. (And took a few days to pull off!)
Fun stuff! I was a little concerned at first that Danger was going to become a deus ex machina device, but those concerns were put to rest a fistful of chapters into the first installment.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Did you review anywhere else? (My email alert generator is slightly borked.) And if the story had ended after the first ten chapters of LwD like I thought I intended, she would have been, but apparently what my brain had in mind all along was "Let's remove all the obvious problems and see what happens next..."

I was shocked and delighted when I read my e-mail alerts and found you had updated this story.
I loved this chapter....a little bit of mischief and mayhem.
I look forward to your next update. Well done.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Here's hoping I can continue to shock and delight you more frequently.

Been watching "Aladdin", have we?
As if that song didn't have enough innuendo in it--I admit I saw the "wand" conversation coming (hey, I was a teenager once, too).
Ah, the plot thickens. I was wondering when you'd get to Kreacher and Regulus--I'm just glad it's before anyone checks out that cave...
Good stuff.
Additionally, I don't mean to nitpick, but I couldn't help but notice this chapter isn't up on TFA yet (it's why I didn't notice it till now, actually).
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Hey, the song seemed appropriate. TFA's uploader is slightly borked. Tech wolf will fix as soon as he's not going insane from courseload.

Woohoo, new Facing Danger chapter. Freaked out my husband slightly by sort of shrieking when I realised there was an update, but I'm sure he'll recover. Brilliant chapter as usual. Liked the character of Crystal and the Pride's rather pleasant prank on the new couple, also Crystal's handling of Maya's insecurity. So, more of the plot of DH coming to light here, excellent. Hope to see the next chapter very soon, even if Bad Things are going to happen, because I just love your work that much that I'll always want to read it!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
What else are husbands for? I'll try to get it out soon!

Great chapter, Anne. Having said that, the A/N was ominous, and I will admit that I am in no hurry ot experience Draco's death and Luna's defection, if they're coming up any time soon, so please don't hurry with the next chapter. Maybe you should update LSSR instead? Good luck either way.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
No, those two events are still a ways off. It's other Bad Things which are soon to happen. As for LSSR... I'll think about it.
