Hi Anne,
You told me that Alex had two kids. My mistake I guess because I just assumed that from chapter 20 in 'Living.....':

"So that’s why you’re a Parselmouth," said Harry in satisfaction. "You’re an heir of Slytherin."
"One of the originals." Al was sitting on another of the House tables, his feet on the bench below it. "Sadly, it’s my brother’s line that continues, not mine."
"Continues?" Hermione pounced on the word. "You mean there are heirs of Slytherin still alive? And heirs of Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff?"

So because Alex sais his brothers line continued I figured Alex didn't have kids *head desk* but never thought that his own line had died out. *sigh*

That's why you write and I don't! LOL

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Hey, where would writers be without readers?

Oh, right, first off, yay an update, and such a good solid one, too.

OooOOOooo, this is difficult: I have this theory, see, about the whole dead-Draco-Luna-going-to-Lucius-voluntarily thing, and if I'm right I wanna be able to gloat, but I don't want to blow the surprise if I happened to actually figure something out for the first time in this whole universe (thicker than Ron, me). So, I dunno, two words? Aging Potion.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well, that might be a bit tough, since Luna said she can See if people are "lying" with their appearance... besides, Lucius doesn't look much like Draco anymore, what with the scars he's acquired from being a werewolf.

EEEEEEEEEEEEE please write more soon. I'm very curious to see how this series ends- I've been reading this off and on for quite a while.

I like this AU. Sometimes I am thinking or reading about the canon story and one of your characters slips in ... and I have to remember that you aren't JKR!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Wow, I'm flattered! Thanks so much! More soon, I devoutly hope and plan!

Wow. I didn't even pay at tbc. Good work. This chapter is intruiging

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Thankee. Payment is secondary, honestly--it's eyes on words I'm after more!

Wow. This chapter is haunting. Who on earth is the mummy? And what on earth is all the sudden Seer-ness that everyone gets in that cave? I'm not sure it's safe, or maybe that's just my paranoid mind. Nice work.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

She's who she said she was in the wall carving, and the person who gets Seer-ness in the cave gets it for a reason. They'll check the place out pretty thoroughly before they decide to use it.

Got the update from ffnet but again, not from this site. But I like it here more. :D

Hard chapter for Draco and Luna because they might pity him and dis-trust her. Wonder what Danger said to Luna.

Sorry about misreading the reviews and how could I even think that Krum could be a DE *head desk*.

The lady in the sarcophagus. mmmmm. Descendent of the serpent so it should be from Matthias's line since Alex did not have children, right?
It was like Draco was channeling 2 ghosts because

"I see it now as I did not then," he breathed. "A cunning trap, worthy of the one who sprang it. I was hurt, the boy too young, and she had not the strength to take us both... the water came down so fast, there was no time to choose, whoever was left would die..."

while he first described himself as the serpent's daughter.

Does this have to do anything with Amanda's old soul.

I'm lost *sigh* I need to re-read some stuff first.

Glad they 'found' the place to make the sanctuary. Now to make it work with all the chosen members.

Until next time, take care. C

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Now, now, I never said you were wrong... No, Alex had two kids, and Draco wasn't describing himself as the serpent's daughter, he was just translating the Latin on the wall.

Very interesting update...you just love to keep adding mysteries for the Pride to pick their way through.

Looking forward to more.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I do, I do indeed... but all shall be cleared up in the fullness of time.

great chapters!

seeing a chapter from you is the highlight of my day!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Aww, thanks!

Ooh, another update, we are being spoiled at the moment! Don't stop, please! Great chapter, very intriguing about the caves and the mausoleum. Glad everybody knows all about the vision now - although it's hard to see how, I somehow feel the Pack and Pride will find a way to prevent it coming true...I really hope so anyway. Looking forward to the next chapter - a terrible secret sounds very intriging, and I'm also interested to see Ron's reactions to dealing with Krum...

Anne B. Walsh replied:

They'll want to, and they'll try. No word on whether or not they'll succeed. Mwahaha. Ah yes, Ron and Krum... one of those scenes I have really been looking forward to writing.

Prongsie posted a comment on Monday 25th May 2009 11:20pm

All right! Thanks for updating ^^
Right, my ideas on the chapter: first of all, good job :) As always ;)
I'd say the old woman is the one whose soul resides in Amanda... And it would seem Draco has a part of the soul of one of the men between whom she had to choose (you know, it was save one and let the other die). That's why they have that attraction! Wow, I'm on a roll :P And Draco (as the woman) said that apparently the Houses have reconciled, so I'd say that as Harry is Gryffindor (and has a small part of Slytherin through his connection with Voldemort), Neville is Hufflepuff and Meghan is Ravenclaw the Houses have indeed been reconciled. Or maybe she wasn't talking about the Hogwarts' Houses, but the ancient House of Black, Potter and Malfoy being reconciled through the cubs as well...

As I thought, Krum is indeed the Seeker they had to look for, but I wasn't sure why. Seems like that mystery's solved as well ;)
I'm both sad and happy that Draco told the others. I feel for them all, truly I do. And I really hope there will be a way to solve this recent mess. *fingers crossed*

I was also wondering about the whole 'serpent's daughter'-thing: so she's a decendant of Slytherin. The way she talked, it made me think of Voldemort's mum... And she was also from the House of Slytherin... Could it be that the Houses of Gaunt (or whatever her name was) and Beauvoi have crossed lines somewhere?

Let me know what you think of my ideas please ^^

Grtz,

Prongsie

Anne B. Walsh replied:

You're quite welcome. Your ideas are mostly impressive, but you seem a bit confused as to who was talking through Draco... first you said it was a man, then a woman... and if you want more information about line-crossing, I suggest you investigate Chapter 25.

I just got an E-mail saying there was an update *yay* but .....no.....it's this one and I've read this one *scratches head*. Oh well.

I've read other reviews and one mentioned Krum was needed as a seeker? But also wanted to know who touched Hermione! Are you telling us covertly that the DE touching Hermione and Krum are one and the same?
O h m y G o d!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Sorry, email alerts were turned off for a while and I thought I'd better send them in order. Hold onto that thought...

Anansii posted a comment on Monday 25th May 2009 1:32pm

you don't think I'm going to let any of them be right, now do you?

Of course not - where's the fun in that?? :)

Anne B. Walsh replied:

*laughs* You are wise indeed, o trickster spider.

Prongsie posted a comment on Sunday 24th May 2009 12:58am

Well... What do you want me to say? I just reread the entirity of the Danger-universe, and I'm still as entertained as ever. I'd say that makes you one hell of a writer ;)

Obviously, Krum is needed (what other seeker is there that we know who follows the description?), but I think that might lead to problems between Hermione and Ron. Also, I was wondering who the DE was that touched Hermione? Was it mentioned somewhere? Because if so, I missed it :P I think that guy is very important... If only so both Ron and Hermione can have their revenge.

I'm hoping that Draco will survive, because he is such a great part of a great story... In fact, I don't want you to kill anyone off because all of them form this amazing story ;) Meh!

Keep on posting, and we'll keep on reading and reviewing,
Prongsie

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well... the two things you mentioned in your second paragraph are actually related... more on that to come! I know you don't want me to kill anyone off, but it's a war. People die. Sounds like a deal to me!

Well, I have finially finished reading 'Dangerverse'. I have been wanting to read it for awhile, but other things have gotten in the way.

Anyway, GET TO THE REVIEW.

These stories would have to be one of the best stories I have read (and I have read quite a few). I just love the way you have told them (close to canon, but not).

You have me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next update, so (before I fall off), PLASE update soon and make all your loyal readers very happy. :).

CONGRATULATIONS on a great story.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Hey, no yelling at yourself! Thank you so much for the kind words and I shall try to update before you fall!

I've been following you since you started the Dangerverse, and I've continued to enjoy your fresh new twist on a happyHarry. Please, continue to be bit by this particular bunny! Cheers!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, never fear, the bunny bites plenty hard.

Wow greedy woman. But really i see your point but sadly I am a freshman with no job so I can't help with c-day. still good chapter.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Heheh, I prefer honest. And you're helping just by keeping my spirits up with reviews, so thanks for that!

Carol Layland posted a comment on Monday 18th May 2009 7:41am

I have read every Dangerverse that you have ever written and I do think that I have reviewed each chapter as they have been posted. As usual you have outdone yourself and I really do appreciate the effort that you have put into the DANGERVERSE.This chapter is no different it is so well put together that it totally intrigues me. I don't know how but I am sure that Draco will be able to survive the curse and that Love is most probably the answer to keeping him alive. After all his own mother gave her life so that Draco could live with the pack and become one with them. Carol Layland

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Thank you so much. I will strive to be worthy of your very kind words.

Or merely the date he'll fake his own death. Granted, the rest of the vision is scary enough to give one chills, but things are far from hopeless.

At any rate, I found this update excellent. I was wondering when we'd get back to Amanda Smythe, who I hate as much as your other readers, I'm sure. Nothing she's done particularly wrong or anything, but she sure isn't Pride.

Looking forward to more.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Don't hate her too much. She has a very painful story, which we'll learn in due course.

MoonlitLightning posted a comment on Monday 18th May 2009 6:44am

We need Krum!

Excellent, as always.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, very good! But "need" may be the wrong word for one person involved...

Hurrah, new chapter! Love the planning going on in the DA. Another bit of Danger's latest prophecy explained - I do like it when that happens, and have to say that although I figured out some bits of this section, I had no idea about what they going to do with it! I'm glad Draco is finally sharing the burden of Luna's vision, although obviously this is a tough time for the Pride in consequence. I hope you are able to update soon - I promise to check out TBC as soon as possible if that helps!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

It does indeed help, and I'm glad I was able to surprise people with this twist!
