I really like the fact that Hermione is so sure of Ron and that he won't hurt her. The scene with the two of them discussing love was so well done. LOL at the kissing rota.

Remus being the cutest thing ever was hilarious as were the Monty Python quotes and thoughts that would give the cubs nightmares for months.

Once again you proved how well you write with the Harry / Ginny scene where the proposal takes place. It's true and yet rather painful for both of them so all you can think is "God, by comparison Romeo & Juliet had it easy!". Great chapter. wonderful writing. More please.

This chapter was very well done. I really like the way Ron told Hermione the real truth about how he felt about her. That she wouldn't win a beauty contest but he really likes to watch her and he really feels stongly about her. That and she was honest too about how she would tell him things when she disagreed with him but that she wanted to try to make their relationship work. That was excellent. I love the way that Aletha send Meghan to tell everyone that Ron and Hermione were together and that Hermione was getting better that was great. The scene with Harry and Ginny was excellent. I'm glad that Harry was able to tell Ginny and also tell her that he felt it was too soon but that the war was pressuring them. Even with all that Ginny had the self assurance that she was making the right decision even if it was a little earlier than they had ever imagined. VEry well done. I look forward to more of this story. Thanks for working so hard to make these relationships reallistic. I want more as soon as you are able to get it out. Thanks for writing. pms

Yes, I believe I did double-damn you after finishing all four stories to that point. But yay for this chapter! I don't care for Harry/Ginny at all, but I can deal with in in this story because you've created their relationship -- you've shown how much they're alike and how well they work together. I can understand this relationship much better than the one in canon.

So, yes, I am encouraging you to get the next chapter out as soon as possible :)

Great chapter! Very sweet, especially after some of the hard chapters previously.

As to the first half of the chapter: Finally! Took them long enough!

AWESOME!!! That was quite a chapter after the ones you've previously written. I liked the fluidness and how natural it felt when Ron and Hermione agreed to start dating. And Ginny and Harry getting engaged...wow...that was just the cherry on top of a HUGE ice cream sundae.

Whoever said, "Life is made up of one part sadness, one part happiness" described your story perfectly. This chapter was great and I hope to read more soon, though I will continue to check the website for more updates from you quite often should you take a while in typing up the next part.

So, now that I have finished your most recent update I have to go freak out about studying for my test. Thanks for the great chapter.

Wow, didn't see that coming *quite* so soon. 14 is rather young, but clearly they are aware of that. You did a lovely job with Ron and Hermione in particular, especially Ron's insecurity. I like that they had different notions of obvious too. Great job, and hopefully this constitutes encouragement to get the next chapter out soon!

Chapter chapter CHAPTER!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Neenie and Ron made me sniffle. And chuckle, because it was so *very* Neenie and Ron.

And of *course* Remus still likes the Peril. After all, it's just another word for danger.

That was a scary mature way for Harry to handle that. Is he feeling all right?

And I, not *quite* as thick as Ron, have finally cracked the code on the "Bearer of Hope" line. Yay!

Thank you for writing this!

At the risk of sounding like a soap opera addict, *all* my favorite stories seem to have gone on hiatus at once the last six weeks or so! It has been very lonely and boring and I have been forced to actually wade through the slushpile that is effeffdotnet again, hoping for diamonds in the muck. Ick.

Okaaaaay ... I liked the bit about Hermione and Ron, however, all the 'if our parents agree' and 'when we're old enough' really takes away from Harry's reasons for proposing to Ginny. Your characters are written older than they are, probably a consequence of way this series follows them from childhood. It is easy to feel that these incidents fit the age of your characters, but they do not fit their chronological ages. It seems to be a consequence of writing fiction that is so chronologically defined by the school years, and so neatly placed in our own time, and in a similar culture.

I really enjoyed reading, but the scene seemed to belong in a different chronology. (Both of them actually - feverent avowals of love are pretty rare amongst fifteen year olds as well as fourteen year olds.) In a way, the chronological issues subtract from your story, and the impact of these scenes. Add a few years, and they would be taken more seriously, and would therefore be more romantic.

You have chosen to write in a world parallel to our own, and the basis of fantasy is a strong set of unbreakable rules. In Harry Potter, those rules are that the dead may not be raised. In our own world the rules are those of physics. In the world of the romance, these rules are age related.

(I'm sorry if I've been too cutting, reaching adulthood is something that scares me, so the really adult portrayal of your characters makes me sympathise with sentiments they seem not to be cognitised of.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I thank you for your comments, and no, you were not too cutting. You were in fact very polite, and I need to hear when I haven't done as well as I hope to do.

In response to your very good points, all I can really say is that I need this to happen now for the story to proceed. I'm quite aware it's a bit OOC for their ages, but I would like to think I can rationalize by saying that the characters have lived in a way, and have had some experiences, that would tend to make them more mature than the average person of their age. Whether or not you accept this rationale is up to you.

I think reaching adulthood scares us all. Thanks again for your comments and I hope you are able to keep reading.

Ok, so you made us wait, but it was so worth it! What a fantastic chapter - Ron and Neenie (and reactions to that from various pack-parents) and what a brilliant proposal scene between Harry and Ginny. What else can I say except, update soon, pretty pretty please. Can't wait to see what happens next!

*releases the robotic clones of you after chaining you to your computer* How's that for encouragement to post soon? :D

Seriously, though, it's great to see somebody finally updating on fanficauthors. It's been entirely too quiet here. :P

I love the way you handled all the relationships in this chapter. It was such a perfect way to get Hermoine over her fear (which canNOT be rationalized, as much an Neenie might want it to be), and to begin a different phase of her and Ron's relationship. The awkward proposal from Harry to Ginny was so sweet, too. The poignancy of the chapter left me with tears in my eyes. Great job!

Aww, there are so many precious moments in this chapter. Great story, and great update.

Happy Writing

I just need to let you know that I've stayed up way too late several nights in the last couple weeks reading the Dangerverse series (the main stories, not the AUs to the AU or the extras). In that respect, damn you! And, on the other hand, damn you for getting me hooked!

I thought I'd just find something to read because I was tired of rereading a few of my favorites. Then you totally drew me in because I'm a sucker for Harry being raised by Remus and/or Sirius.

And now that I've caught up to you, I'm stuck. Please write more soon.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Does that make me double-damned? Thank you for the compliments. Another chapter should be forthcoming today, actually. Hope you enjoy!
