Oh dear... not one of Luna's smarter moves, I'm afraid. She conceded far more than she needed to or should have.

Deck the Halls, I think.

I loved Amanda's little story. That was nicely dark. I also liked their way of working out how to get Draco for themselves. He's going to be a very confused boy for a while.

The dreams were great, especially the part where Remus shook them like the voice of God. Remus's claim to the life-debt has really set the cat among the pigeons in Voldie's camp.

LOL at Dumbledore's reading room. The use of the Captain was also great, his power is so cool. We Wish You A Merry Christmas. More please. Great chapter, as ever.

we wish you a merry christmas is my preference.

Nicely done. I'm working on a more detailed review over at TFA, but I thought you'd appreciate another favourable comment ;)

So now we sail into "Half-Blood Prince" territory, or are you leaving that until the end-of-year, or even ignoring it?

Thank you for a wonderful update. I love all the Danger stories. Thank you for a deliciously delightful end to that witch Umbridge, too bad it couldn't have been more drawn out and painful...like a blood quill through her head! ha ha ...Please update soon!!--Oh, and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas"

I believe we all like to read there.

My vote is for "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". The Bob Rivers version that should be sung to/about Peeves:

We wish you weren't living with us
We wish you weren't living with us
We wish you weren't living with us
We're not happy you're here

You're feeding your face
You're taking up space
We wish you weren't living with us
We're not happy you're here

Poor Draco he's going to be going nuts with those 2 girls taking turns at him. That thing with lucius was kinda weird wasn't sure if it was really happening or not until the oath. and umm... We wish you a Merry Christmas

*snicker* One final thought, given JKR's recent revelations about Albus, the line "Don we now our gay apparel" from "Deck the Halls" seems rather appropo. :D

"Deck the Halls" sounds better to me in this setting.

An interesting chapter in a lot of ways that looks to set up a whole lot for future chapters.

Truly an interesting read that gives one to think.

"We Wish You a Merry Christmas"-- but only if you include the verses about figgy pudding.

Deck the Halls.

My vote's for Deck the Halls. You virtually have to smile while singing it.

Fantastic chapter, as per usual. I loved the nice bit of pun-work with Dumbledore, and I'm glad we don't have to wait for book 7 before getting a taste of Neville's badass-ery.

*Encourages* Good luck on your NaNo, and...mm...Deck the Halls, I think.

Wow my sister told me about the story and i just had to read it. I really hope u update soon. I never though that Umbrige would die.

Rebel Goddess posted a comment on Wednesday 7th November 2007 4:44am

I didn't see Umbridge's death coming - great way of doing it. I also loved how you made Harry's state of mind believable and then explainable. Excellent twist there. Poor Marcus hasn't temporarily died in vain.

I sniffed over Sirius's new stories. It's good that you leave us some hope or this would just be a bit grim.

Eek at that final scene. I'm confused about what's going on but loving it anyway. More please. Brilliant chapter, as always.

You know, now I'm thinking that you're not actually going to kill Draco. You're foreshadowing too much. I think that you're going to wind us all up, then do something that fulfills the vision and lets him live--or kills someone else.

Wow. Just discovered this, and have spent the past few weeks reading from the top of the first story. Congratulations on creating a wonderful, rich alternate universe. Thanks for a fantastic read so far. Looking forward to more as real life permits. Great stuff!

I have seemed to have forgotten what this whole story you wrote was about, the time length between chapters made me forget, so now i'll have to reread it, oh well, lovely chapter by the way, even though i have no clue as to what the chapter was about
