Still reading and enjoying - after all, while I'm not sure what's going on with Dafydd (Beauvois?) and Amanda I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it. :)

May the Carrows find themselves running around in circles biting their tails (grown for the occasion).

You know, I seem to remember that at one time, Aletha was looking into a potion that might allow Remus and Danger to conceive; is that why Danger sounded more hopeful than useful? And the laughing voice with the quatrain at the end, did it happen to sound like a naughty Slytherin of our acquaintance? (I wish Daffyd had hidden Alecto's wand, or maybe dropped it down a toilet somewhere?) I truly am looking forward to the next few chapters; there may be Bad Things, but I know that there will be at least one Good Thing in each chapter.

Oh oh Amanda....made me cry. I'm going to digest now...Ron and Remus can we have an outtake one day about how THAT conversation went down? Starwing's been hanging out with Snape huh? That couldn't be good or bad or anything at all important. Yay Evanie! Thanks I've been missing her. Also Echo :( I have to go back and re-read all of this, I'm missing stuff apparently.

Squee! New chapter! And what a chapter it is. Filler-ish, perhaps, but it seems to be setting everything up for the non-stop action to follow. And speaking of action, the moment Ron went in to see Remus, I knew. More squeeing from me. I know it's not much in the way of a review - I never have been able to write a decent one - but I wanted to tell you that I appreciate the monumental amount of blood, sweat, tears, and time that has gone into (and is still going into) this universe that's now been delighting me for nearly a decade. Thank you, and thank you on behalf of my retirement-age mother, who you hooked on fanfic all those years ago.

Dafydd and Amanda!!! I cannot wait to see where this goes! So very excited for frequent updates. I'm still very curious about Lucius. There's something slightly off about his motivations even though he makes very good excuses to Voldemort...

That was great thoug now i have to stop myself from thinking too much into things again.

Why oh why would lucius make a muggle refrence. I really hope it is not coincidece but then i have been hopping for that ever since that memorable daywhen lucius and draco had their face off. Really wish that what i think is true but, until you oh mistress of stories will tell us, i will not know ;)

The den night will be interesting. I do have a question though. I have forgoten the latest proficy that is in play at the moment. Where would I need to go to check?

Can't wait to see how this continues.

There is no way in the Nine Hells that is Lucius Malfoy. Also I do love me some Crystal and Percy stuff :)

So the Death Eaters are down one spy and still unaware of Arthur's sudden elevation (I hope) and the deal with the goblins bears fruit: gotta love their report of how that guy died ;-)

Good to see Percy and Crystal working out their troubles, although it seems like Fred drew the short straw this time around!

Also good to see you haven't forgotten about Theo Nott and "the little Greengrass": I was wondering what you'd planned for her having removed her canonical husband from the picture ;-)

So…are we any closer to finding out what is going on with Lucius and Luna? I know I am not alone in my suspicions, and I am looking forward to finding out how right or wrong I am :-D

"After all, it's not as if where and how this one man died would change the course of the war."

Famous last words if I ever heard them.

Okay now, 'fess up. How many years have you been working on getting The Flinging of the Fox into canon DV?

"Feeding the Pride was the sort of thing Neville kept tabs on automatically."

It's good to have people like that around. Everything's worse when you're hungry.

Very interesting. I knew something was up with Lucius. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. :)

fred fox flingage!

i'm still betting on something being up with lucius and luna and this just makes me think it's more and more possible.

den solves many things, ron

And time marches on. I'm desperately trying to come up with some witty, pithy remarks about the chapter to show my extreme appreciation, but I think you'll just have to make do with the sentiment instead. The "flinging of the fox" indeed! Good one, that! Just wanted to let you know that my collection of the DV is as up-to-date as it can be, given that SD is not available yet, and I am a happy little camper. I'm also trying to write reviews for Christmastime and Killdeer to post to Etsy. (Will Amazon let you post a review if you didn't purchase the book from them?) I have the most wonderful ideas in my head, but they never come out right when I try to put them down on paper. Ugh. I truly enjoyed them and want others to buy them, too, so that they can enjoy them...

And so now I've got "Dance, dance the Flinging of the Fox/Duck, duck if you do not feel like playing..." running through my head tto "The Shaking of the Sheets" as performed by Steeleye Span stuck in my mind. Heck, at this rate there may be an entire filk. :) Lovely. Also good for the goblins, and... so now we have Lucius and Starwing rescuing Theo.. and me getting suspicious at least one of those names should be in quotes.

Hope you find your cats!

Dangams posted a comment on Wednesday 29th January 2014 7:17pm

Yay, chapter. :) I greatly liked the Flinging of the Fox. An ancient and sacred ritual dating back many years. Any chance we'll see the Curling of the Coyote?

Also, what the hell is Lucius up to? 'Tis a mystery.

karm23 posted a comment on Wednesday 29th January 2014 7:07pm

What are you up to with Theo...? and, Lucius, he keeps seeming more and more odd. As for Starwing, why does her cloak get more elaborate all the time? I loved Molly's reaction to the time Arthur asks to spend with the Muggles, as well as Remus' and Arthur's conversation. And that scene between Hermione and Ron, and later Ron and Harry. Well, those are Pride moments, the ones that make this story so special.

I'm still hoping your cats turn up Anne! Best wishes for you!

bgoldnyxnet posted a comment on Wednesday 29th January 2014 6:46pm

Well, that was interesting. Somehow I doubt that Lucius's motives are what he says they are. (Are they ever?)

Good stuff, thank you.

Anne- I am mostly finished with my re-read (for the nth time...) and I noticed in your AN that the next chapter would be completed by the birthday of the DV as a whole, Oct 25. This made me think. Knowing that there are a finite number of chapters left, do you think it will be possible to finish the whole story by October 25th, 2014? It seems to me that there would be a beautiful symmetry in beginning and ending an epic such as this like that.

Also, after everything is over, do you suppose you could go somewhere and have a massive Q/A session? Let we the readers ask how this particular plotline that faded out (as they inevitably will with a story this complex) ended up, or if you changes that plot detail because a reader guessed what you were originally intending to use and you wanted us all to be baffled? I think that would be a great deal of fun, and might be a good way to help both the readers and you the author let go of the story easier.

Much love now and always,

Lel

Hello. I just want to say that i love your work very much. So much so that i forget about my duties at work and sometimes read a few chapters instead of doing my job (and ireally hope none of my superiors knows my nick to trace it to me). But to my shame i am not a computer person and a terible user so for me to create an account here and leave this note is a fit in itself ;) i am telling this because i just do not know what a blog is and how to handle it. Please please do not feel used. You are not!!! You are very much appreciated and liked. You are tremendously tallented. Words like you and it is felt that you like them in return. I await every chapter with as little patience as a baby posseses. I solemly swear that i will learn how handle amazon or where your work is sold and read whatever i can find there that you have written. Thank you so much for all you hard work you have already put in this story and thank you in advance for all your future efforts! Health and prosperity to you and yours. Elina
