omgomgomgomg YOU ARE EVIL. Still, So much LOVE.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I should adopt that as my middle name. Anne Evil Walsh. But then I'd be Anne E. which sounds like Annie and like Anne Shirley, I am never Annie...

Draco's scornful suggestions of muggle hideouts under Hogwarts and other 'unlikely' things were most amusing, and I particularly enjoyed Dobby's threats.

LOL at the little words scene. (And at your review reply!)

I like the way you gently send up book 7 - the whole running about was quite ridiculous it's true.

Loved the way you had Fox looking after himself. That was so sweet.

Great chapter and thanks for updating so fast.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

And JKR says that's her favorite HP book... meh. YW!

*leaps at Fox, catches computer as it tumbles out of chair, blinks, looks around*

Damn. That was well written and certainly dispelled most of the heartache I was feeling for him. It certainly drew me in with the vividness of the sights and sounds and scents described. Thus far, one of my favorites.

Peter is...not surprising in his character growth. I felt he had potential the JKR didn't tap into and I'm loving the way that you're spinning him, especially with Evanie. It doesn't make up for what he did, not by a long shot, but he's more than paid for it-in my opinion. Who needs Azkaban when you have your own self-hate and friends like Voldemort! (I am not calling him Riddle, I refuse to call him Riddle. That would be an insult to your Riddle in "Be Careful")

Fred is...God I hope he survives this. Crystal, too. It might be easier for Crystal because of Percy, he's been there and gone through it, but Fred is completely and utterly alone in his grief for his twin. I can't blame him if he does find some way to end the pain. I can't even fault him if he does it through taking out a giant number of Death Munchers. If he does do it, hopefully he takes 12 out for the count! And take Bellatrix with them!

With Luna? I'm sensing a plot twist! Yaaaaay~!

Ahhh, it was Wormtail who saved Percy's life! I didn't pick that up on my first read through. Poetic.

I guess, somehow Draco managed to hide in his mind and just left his 4 year old self from just before the pack came to the manor in charge. So Amandas poem could mean the long-imprsoned youth is this Draco and the pack should see through this before doing something that could in result harm Fox = Draco in hiding in his mind.

Do I make any sense?

Well, I am so curious as to how this all going to play out and I like that the story is getting more drive than the original did. I remeber going up the walls about the long time Harry, Hermione and Ron were only running around without knowing what to do in DH.

So, great chapter - looking forward to the next one!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

You make excellent sense. And yes, the running around irked me. Couldn't Dumbledore have made slightly better plans than that?

Nenya posted a comment on Friday 14th June 2013 1:21am

Whee! :D I recognised the bit from Be Careful, though not the stars around the moon. And Luna knows about the other worlds...why am I not surprised? :P not sure what her little bit of iambic tetrameter is though, or what it's got to do with Amanda's letter. "Spare the one on whom it's cast" - I know you're not following canon, but that does sound like it might be a human horcrux. Anyway, great stuff as ever; I eagerly await the next update!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Think about the world of Homecoming for the other bit. And not quite a human Horcrux... not quite...

callie posted a comment on Thursday 13th June 2013 5:56pm

Is what Luna said really what I think it is? That just "immature bad Draco" will die and somehow "mature good Draco/Fox" will live? That would be amazing! I love it when Luna is sneaky! Also cleaver trick for finding the horcruxes!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, maybe it could mean that. Maybe.

jua-chan posted a comment on Thursday 13th June 2013 5:24pm

this is another great chapter. i ma curious what luna is refering to though i have my own little suspishions.

I am glad that they are not just groping around in the dark for the horcruxes. that always annoys me. I much prefer when they figure out a way to find the things.

I wonder what is in that letter? well i guess we will find out eventually.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yeah, I could have done without it in canon. Ah well, that's what fanfic is for!

A marathon of a re-read has all but confirmed something I guessed a while ago. Well, I say I guessed. It's more that lots of little things started to add up, and the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. The last quatrain of the first prophecy (and you sneakily re-evoke that here, with Remus remembering the day he met Danger and Neenie), the drinking temperature of the tea, the way Dumbledore doesn't actually confirm that Harry is the you-know-what, the way we're never told which Marauder it was (James wouldn't keep something like that quiet, I'm sure), the resemblance Harry notices between certain people and our dear Moony, the animagus form... Hmm, I'm not being very subtle. I'm doing my best to avoid potential spoilers for people who might just be casually scanning the reviews. Anyway, I think I know why Voldemort wants Remus, although it does beg the question - how could Lord Snakey possibly know about it when the man himself is unaware? If I'm way off with this, please do tell me - I'm in love with my theory but I'd rather be told now if it's wrong than get to the end of the DV and feel silly for getting so excited!

To you, my friend, I say: Shhhhh... ;-)

...

If you stuck Lucius Malfoy in front of my right now, I'd do him every bodily injury known to man and then bleed him dry in the slowest for of death I could find. I couldn't read it all and, God, the parts that I could read were horrible. (not the writing, I mean, the way the emotions pull at you.)

Well, I suppose the only way for me to know if he regains his proper memories or not is the go forward.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I promise you, Lucius will suffer for this. And for everything else he's done, or going to do. But you have to trust me, because it will not look like he does... not for quite a while yet...

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 8:44pm

It wasn't as good as him being there, not even close. Even if Luna does end up pregnant by him and Alex's bloodline is restarted, it still won't be as good as having him there , but it is something and that is better than nothing. I'm still waiting for Lucius to die horribly and painfully and for Draco to pull off something amazing and maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I'm still holding to Danger's first ever dream of her and Moony getting married and all of the cubs being there.

And, yes, yes, before you point it out, I realize that you have said on more than one occasion that a true dream can always change, that it doesn't have to happen, but its been there since the beginning, since before the Pack even existed and its something nice to hold to in these darker moments of the story. Combine the dream with one of your other side stories and I'm hoping something in particular is going to go down and that Luna's dream of the tombstone wasn't everything it seemed to be.

Ok, with that rant done, let's get on with seeing what old Lucky has to say to Draco and how he plans to "bring the pack under control" *scoffs at the idea*. Moron that he is, I think I already have an idea of what its going to be. I've made it this far with Fox and I'm not gonna duck out on him here just cause it hurts more than it should, so with that said...*hits the next button*

Anne B. Walsh replied:

No, it wasn't as good, but it wasn't nothing. And everything you want may yet happen... hold onto hope even when it looks like there is none left, because remember, this is an Anne story, with everything that entails...

Rebel Goddess posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 7:21am

LOL at Draco stealing the flute from Peter like that with no real idea of what it was. Think Lucius didn't think that bit through AT ALL.

Intrigued by Luna's cleverness!

Loved the final scene with Fox.

Congratulations to you and your sister. Hoping to see a new chapter soon!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Lucius? Think? Whatever are you takling about? ;-)

Rebel Goddess posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 6:54am

I liked the scene between Neville and Alice. Feels like she's been out of this for a LONG time.

I must admit, you had me starting to reach for the tissues at Draco's letter to Seamus. Sniff.

The sniffs turned into whimpers when I read the line about mirror twins. That was beautiful. SNIFF.

*looks at it, contemplates time*

Horrible, gut wrenching chapter that this was? I want to read the next one.

*contemplates time some more, groans* No. Too long of a day today. Something to look forward to after life shits on me! Ok...maybe not, but it could serve as something to hold to after a long day. So, sort of something to look forward to with good writing and more nail biting scenes. So, off to a long nights sleepless rest!

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 4:22am

Less, but also more evil than JKR. At least this time, he had someone to hold onto, to love outside his family. At least he also had the time to laugh and love as fiercely as he did, to dream of marriage and children and a life beyond the war with Crystal. But that also makes it all the more cruel because of the way that Crystal also loved him back. Percy won't ever be able to fill that hole in her life, but maybe they'll find a way to ease their pain and move beyond the war.

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 3:49am

I've been thinking Percy was mad for getting attached to Crystal the way he was, but...now..."Mad Muggle of Hogsmead" can only be her. It has always been something I had hoped that would never come to pass, but...FTW.

As for Fox...*clings to Danger's first ever dream like a security blanket*

"I married you last night," she said to Remus the first time they ever met and wasn't it just the sort of thing I would hold to, impossible as it seems right now. I'm still also holding to the fifth line of the newest prophecy.

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 3:02am

O.O

I was going to call it a night, but nooooo...Not after this. First, though, LAUNDRY! Then fighting!

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 2:36am

YES! GO, REGULUS!

*clears throat, modulates tone*

Kreature was never my favorite character and I hated him for getting Sirius killed the way he did, but...it still tore at me, his story. I never liked him as much as I did Dobby, but there it is. I didn't... couldn't ...hate him after hearing his tale of what had happened. Regulus dying so horribly was...sad when I understood the full scope. Its not as good as Sirius having his father or Dean having a blood father like that, but Regulus having a son and that son being who he is is more than good enough. I can't imagine the kind of terror that Regulus and Peter must have felt upon finding out that their woman was pregnant.

On that note, I can honestly say that I still don't like Peter, but that my opinion of him has softened. I wouldn't cry overmuch if they did indeed miss some lower-ranking Death Eaters in the clean up of the war...if they live that far through the war (as more eloquently stated by Danger or Aletha.)

LynnTerald posted a comment on Tuesday 11th June 2013 2:05am

That was a "Wait...WHAT?!" moment for me. That would have been cool, though not likely. Sirius would have owned up to it, if it were him, and then there is the way in which he was fairly clueless about the Muggle world until the Pack. He is, after all, a pureblood by merit of his background and while not bad, he wouldn't have had a...rebllious streak big enough in him to go wooing a Muggle girl with all his other responsibilities AND the war. Regulus, however...well, that's another matter entirely. My head has already started peicing together how this might have gone down and how he may have been influenced to change sides so dramatically. Here's hoping!
