Amanda is…dead? Well, that's going to mess some stuff up a bit…
Anne B. Walsh replied:
She did it on purpose, though.

*Sobs*
Although perhaps all is not lost. I wonder what Draco's plan with Luna is?
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Remember that potion they're brewing in Myrtle's bathroom?

Oh gosh! :'( :'( :'(
I wasn't expecting it to be George. And I hadn't guessed the meaning of Hermione's dream, even though I specifically re-read it a few weeks ago. Then again, I suppose it was hard to interpret.
Cracking stuff, although very sad. I'm completely in awe of the way you're weaving four books' worth of material together here.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Nobody was. Which is why I'm so frackin' evil. More weaving coming right up...

Just went back and reread chapter 30 of DwD and all I could say was Oh my God... Evil Panther....
Anne B. Walsh replied:
You know it. Have a look at Chapter 24 of FD while you're at it...

Sad or not, it was a good chapter...
Not exactly the way I was expecting Draco to leave them, but then again you never do things the way we expect them to...
Poor Crystal... although maybe after what the Death Eaters did I imagine they will be the ones to feel sorry for... After she's done with them.
Until next time...
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Oh, definitely the DEs will regret angering Crystal.

Sorry I'm late, and not very verbose. My Grandaddy died. Is a good chapter, evilness and all. Glad Scabbers remembers his debts. That was really brave of him. S'brave of Fox, too, but then we kind of expect that of him by now. Looking forward to seeing how you work the switch. Poor Ginny, sucks thing to happen right before her wedding, particularly since they can't exactly postpone it.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Yeah, I would call that a valid excuse. Sorry to be pushy. And yes, Scabbers did a good thing, but do consider who else these particular DEs have been threatening...

Well, as long as Crystal didn't really go mad...I was expecting one twin to die, especially with ASNT . But that doesn't mean I won't be mad at you if you kill Fred, Graham, or Peter in the next chapter (or just about any of the other good guys, but those are the foreshadowed, right?).
Is ASNT AU? I'm hoping it is, especially so you can write another way of Draco getting out of it.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
No, Crystal isn't actually mad. Just temporarily freaked out. And it is none of the above... Yes, ASNT is AU. Though possibly not the way you think...

I'm not sure what to say other than argh....I had begun to wonder if something was going to happen to George, but it still came as a shock. I sincerely hope nothing happened to any other Weasleys, since this chapter also had nasty things happening to Draco. Truly hoping that Luna's vision is still going to prove somehow wrong (please please please).
Looking forward to Harry and Ginny's wedding still, despite there being a twin missing, but seriously worried about your "another death" comment. Chapter 25 as soon as possible please to put us out of our misery...
Anna
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Well, it isn't a Pack or Pride member who dies next chapter. Or a Weasley...

Oh my god, Anne, I've dreaded this kind of chapter for so long now and now it seems to have happened...
But! Even if you let the twins get killes, which I fear, you did, I will not believe that Draco really dies. There will be some twist like in your other story, and, I mean, Aletha finally got back to beeing herself, too. It's just, you just can't really let a member of the pack die for real. Can you ?!?
And in Danger's first dream there was Draco at her wedding. So I just keep hanging and I am looking forward to the next chapter no matter what you throw at your characters and your reader :-)
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Well, Draco's not dying yet. It's still only April 30. His gravestone said June.

Yikes…keeping my eyes dry mostly by force of will…
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Get your tissues. You'll probably lose it next chapter. I sniffled writing it.

Nooooooooo! Poor Crystal! I am currently rereading the entire DV,now working on Dealing with Danger, but I haven't gotten to Chapter 30 yet. I did reread to find the part you mentioned, though. By the way, I'm Carole on facebook. Somehow I always manage to forget that, in a way, this is canon, and some things are just meant to happen. It doesn't mean I have to like them, or to pray that there might yet be a way out for a certain individual. I'm sure there will be many more tears before we are finished.
It certainly won't be the wedding day that Ginny and Harry deserve, and it's not like they can even put it off, as it is so important.
Question (or two): Shouldn't the rest of the Pack and Pride's pendants be going beserk for Draco? Or are they not because he has come to terms with it (and is not angry or upset) and is not in imminent danger? Also, I haven't reread far enough to find out what the blood red potion does. Does anyone have the potion in his/her piece that acts like acid? And for good measure, isn't Crystal George's girlfriend, and didn't Fred die in the book? (I feel like an idiot that I can't remember)
Anne B. Walsh replied:
I'll address it later, but Draco shut his pendants down so they wouldn't overload the Pack and Pride. The red potion is exactly the one that acts like acid. And yes, Crystal is George's girlfriend... bear in mind that while often I am less evil than JKR, sometimes I'm MORE so.

Argh! I want the next three chapters right now! Cause I know it's going to take at least that long for everything to sort it's self out... Also I think I need to retread this chapter because I'm sure I've missed things but maybe after breakfast...
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Oh, honey. Most of this won't get fully sorted out until the end of the story.

wow, it's wonderful to see it coming together, and you are a master of pathos. LOVE is to calm a word for how much I love your work!
Thanks, as always, for your work!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Well, if you loved this chapter, get ready for the next one...

Lovely chapter! After watching a Doctor Who marathon recently, I was almost surprised they made it out of Gringots. Thanks for not quite making everything go terribly wrong. I'll just vainly hope that Percy and George are dueling over Crystal, not something more deadly.
Good luck with the next chapter! (hurryhurryhurryhurry!)
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Oh, things are going terribly wrong. Trust me.

Oh, so nice until the end of the chapter! Well, now I have to read the next chapter even though it's going to be very much not-so-nice. Keep up the good work.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Yeah, the not-so-nice is going to be for a while now. Sorry...

Uh Oh... I'm a little scared to read the next chapter...
I loved this, a hint here or there at the beginning of the chapter of what will happen to end the year. I'm looking forward to reading that part, but first Harry needs to get back...
The whole Gringott's scene was excellent, I love having scenes where Draco and Hermione have time together, before the vision comes true...
Looking forward to the next chapter!
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Next chapter's now up. Possibly you won't be looking forward to it any longer...

I've been reading this story for a long time and I'm catching up on the chapters you've posted this year. (I love that there's so many!)
I have to admit that--I don't understand why you've made Alex a Hufflepuff? I mean, it fits him, but it almost seems to undermine the entire aspect of Slytherin House not being all bad if the only representative they've got up where the Founders are... wouldn't even be Sorted as a Slytherin and is only one due to blood? Like, I'm confused because it's as if the message I'm supposed to take away is that the only time Slytherins are good is when they're not actually Slytherins and that seems like a waste of a message after all the effort that's gone into showing how some of the students who are in Slytherin, like Blaise, are good. And I LOVE your writing so I'm wondering if it's something I'm missing and just not understanding?
I feel awful for not getting it but I'm super confused about that. It just kind of makes me feel super bad for the Slytherins because there's literally no one who is one of them to represent them where the Founders are and Alex can try but if he's a Hufflepuff, then he can't really represent them because he's not one of them in terms of actually being Sorted there.
Anne B. Walsh replied:
I thought about it a long time, and I do see your point, but I guess what I'm trying to get at is that ambition needs to be tempered and guided. It can't be the first and only thing in your life. In Alex's case, it's his loyalty to the causes he believes in, which is why he ended up studying under Hufflepuff. He has ambition -- he ended up as a demigod, didn't he? -- but he guides it with his principles. Hope this helps!

This chapter conicided with me lying in bed having the flu so for once I had all the time in the world to read it. I really like it.
I honestly didn't see the thing with Kreacher comming. I would not have thought him capable of serving a Muggleborn as he so obviously shows his disgust for them on a regular basis. I am curious to see wether that will work out or not.
The Amanda storyline still leaves me puzzled. I had a few ideas about what is going on and then Draco got possesed again and most of my ideas went out the window. Glad to know that there are still a lot of surprises in this story :)
The exploding wedding cake was a great idea. Gave me a good laugh.
Can't wait for the Gringotts break-in and then hopefully the distruction of two more horcruxes (locket and goblet).
Anne B. Walsh replied:
Yay for reading, boo for flu. I think Kreacher will eventually get over his Muggleborn unhappiness because, after all, this is his Master Regulus's son. The Amanda storyline will be worked out fairly soon now!
