Maybe a bit fluffy but I like fluff and there was some very interesting bits of plot in my opinion the slytherin curse progression being my favourite!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Fluff with plot, my specialty!

Ooh, very intriguing, this curse business. I eagerly await further information. Also, what kind of benefits can be gained by the Heirs for reversing a millenium-old fatal curse?

And it's good to see the reemergence of good!Kreacher. The operation name assigned by the Pride was also highly amusing. :D

More soon, please!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well, as Neville was saying, who would the curse be turned back to? And as Hermione was saying, it would be Salazar's true Heir. That is, Voldemort. Putting him under a fatal curse sounds like fun, no?

Wow, the game is afoot......am really looking forward to the next chapters. Your involvement of the goblins in the story is great, you have a real talent for bringing new characters in, weaving them into the larger fabric of the overall storyline and enriching it. So, by intimation of the last paragraph, is Sirius Dean's father????? When did he have a chance to be with his mother if he was involved with Letha then inprisoned in Azkaban? Dun dun DUN!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Not Sirius, but somebody who looked a lot like him...

I love the continuing goblin life parellels to Pack life, and that the goblins are friends instead of obstacles. Write more! Write more!

And I'm sure it's a testament to your character building that I really want to beg you not to kill any of these characters--I like fluff. Nobody has to die. Really! But whatever; go with the story in your head, just please do pull it off quick like a band-aid.

ENCOURAGEMENT! Go Anne!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, trust me, the fluff values will be quite high!

Well, this is coming along nicely. There have been some chapters that were hard to follow, but this one is as clear as day. That bit with Kunora and the hat, though... that was weird, even for goblins. (especially for goblins?) Heh!

Okay, here's a bit of encouragement: please write the next chapter soon. If bad things are going to be happening (and we all know they must... into each life a little rain must fall), then as you said it's good to get through them as quickly as possible and on to the good things again. Soonest begun, soonest ended.

At least you're not afraid to write about bad things. One of the problems with canon is that Rowling was never comfortable writing about sympathetic characters dying. When she had to make it happen, she rushed through it as fast as she could. Anne seems to handle that better. For which I am thankful.

Okay, I've done my part, I've written a review. Please do your part and write the next chapter.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Sorry to be confusing. Clarity soon, I hope. And I try to give painful things the time they need, without dwelling on them too much.

Dangams posted a comment on Saturday 16th March 2013 9:46pm

Most interesting, and yay for Goblins. Sneaky, clever goblins. :D

More soon, please!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

That's how they strike me from canon, certainly.

Yay wedding! Yay! Deans dad! Yay goblins!!!! Can't wait for the gringotts scene it ought to be spectacular!!!!!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I shall try to make it so!

jua-chan posted a comment on Saturday 16th March 2013 2:57pm

Oh wow, I am actually the first to review for once.

The chapter was great. Maya's wedding came really unexpected but was really sweet. It gave a nice contrast to the serious business in the chapter. shows that life goes on even through war.

I apsolutly love your goblins, especially Kunora. Her "story" was really well done. I like the idea that the goblins will not look the other way but as long as Hermione and Draco don't make a mistake, the goblins will "pretend" nothing has happened. That's a nice take on the we-have-to-break-into-Gringots plotpoint. We also learned a lot more about Goblin culture.

I do apreciate the ending of the chapter. It's a nice twist making Draco believe Sirius may be Dean's father. If I had to make a guess I would say it was actually Regulus. Maybe that is why he tried to turn his life around.

Yes, do please write the next chapter soon, but not too soon, because once the story is finished I will be sad that it is over ;)

Well done.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well done on Dean's father! Yeah, JKR's take on the goblins always got me angry...

I find I'm enjoying the fluffiness at least as much as the plot. THe careful way you set things up, you can almost see the Jenga tower building itself up for the one touch that will knock it into a pile of blocks again. Except in your stories, the blocks get put together again into a stronger tower afterward.

Anyway, thanks for another chapter.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I figure most people find a way to build themselves back up again. If they didn't, we wouldn't still have a world.

bgoldnyxnet posted a comment on Friday 8th March 2013 8:07pm

Heh! Liked the party. And several little mysteries for us poor readers to puzzle over until the next chapter, and the next...

Always keep 'em wanting more, right? Great work!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

And now, you can have more. Nice timing!

Dangams posted a comment on Friday 8th March 2013 6:01pm

Haha, I see the chocolate frog/peppermint toad crossbreeding appears to have been successful. I wish those entrepeneuring students all the luck. I'd invest if I could. Also they should speak to the twins.

It seems the stormclouds gather. It seems that now I must tell the Pack and Pride to go forth with honour, to never look back, to bring glory upon their names, and to save the world. Forth Wulfingas!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I'll make sure to pass your messages along. :-)

Anansii posted a comment on Friday 8th March 2013 12:56am

Consider yourself encouraged! Lots! :) And it's nice to see everybody enjoying themselves at least for awhile.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, there'll be enjoyment all through. There'll just be pain to go along with it. Much like real life...

callie posted a comment on Thursday 7th March 2013 2:36am

Loved it all!!!!!! Especially Luna and the twins' contribution to the sanctuary!!! Great work!... Now back to reading a widow in waiting!!!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Hope you're enjoying it!

excellent job :) Origionaly when you had slytherains doing valentines day I had a hard time pictureing it but this turned out just right. Oh and LOVED the goblins last chapter. PLEASE keep updating!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Glad you liked! I had fun writing both parts, and more goblins are coming up within the next few chapters!

jua-chan posted a comment on Tuesday 5th March 2013 7:07am

That was great.

Fred and George are just the best. And Luna too. I wish I could go to Sanctuary and see it myself. You make it sound like such a beatuiful place and although I know that it is meant for more dangerous times, I hope they will find a use for it after the war. It would be a shame to let it go to waste.

The Slytherins really surprised me. The first part was very traditional but stll fun. The second part...let's just hope noone tells Snape. I am curious what the headmaster would think. Then again we are talking about Dumbledore. There is a large chance he already knows.

I also hope that Snape never finds out about what happened in his office.

The part with the Spell was interesting. I really hope Dean's father was one of the decent sort and not a Death Eater or Pureblood who just had some fun. The other option could be a Squib though I do not know wheter they can father magical children. It is never really mentioned.

Looking forward to the possible fallout of this chapter (ie parents finding out) and the May Day events.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, Snape knows. The Slytherins pretty much blackmailed him into allowing it by pointing out that agreeing to it was the only way he could have control over any of it. As for parents... see the start of Chapter 20!

Anne,

It's been amazing these past few weeks getting reacquainted with all the characters of the Dangerverse. For some reason or another I had stopped following, and a comment on the FB group made me come back to it. I'd forgotten how addictive the DV stories could be, and going back through them has been lovely!

I'm really looking forward to what's coming in the next few chapters (It might be funny to read about the rest of the Valentine's Day Soiree. In a one-shot maybe?) and why might Voldemort be interested in Remus outside of his connection to Harry.

Hoping for the next one soon!

Carmen

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Possibly those five years or so when I wasn't updating much? Trying to get over that, I swear!

bgoldnyxnet posted a comment on Friday 15th February 2013 7:21pm

Damn you, Anne Walsh! Now I have to go back and find the chapters in Living With and Without Danger where the Pack Oath and Pride Oath were sworn, to see how all this links together.

I hadn't planned to go back and reread those until I'd reached the end of the Dangerverse Main saga, and now I just _have_ to.

Some authors works are just too interlinked for words. But then I could say the same about Bloodslut...

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Chapter 38 of LwD and 19 of LwoD. In case you needed that.

jua-chan posted a comment on Wednesday 13th February 2013 5:42am

This was really interesting. I love the way you fleshed out the goblin culture. In the books we sadly get to see little of their culture. Especially not from their point of view. I really enjoyed this chapter.

I am sad we missed the testing of the red roads safety feature. Would have been fun to see Mr grumpy raven display emotions. Oh well, maybe another day.

Looking forward to the Slytherin Soiree.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, we'll see Snape with emotion eventually. And I was very annoyed with JKR for the way she handled the goblins. Harry's fighting a war to make sure all humans get treated the same, but it's perfectly all right to lie and cheat the goblins because they're difficult to deal with?

callie posted a comment on Tuesday 12th February 2013 7:00pm

Yay!!! That was awesome!!!! Loved the banter between kunora and rarzal!!!

Also I think writing for lent is a brilliant idea suits you perfectly!

i should also mention that I thought homecoming was amazing, and I let my aunt borrow my copy of a widow in waiting and she loved it and thought the message you signed in the front was cute!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Thanks! So glad to hear it! Playing with Fire, the sequel to Widow, is currently underway...

Hmm...I shall have to revisit Hermione's dream.

I did like your take on apparition - particularly Snape's approval of Harry's prowess. I do wonder what will become of him in your mainverse...?

Great stuff, as always!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Oh, I have evil plans. Some of which were foreshadowed a bit in Be Careful, especially Lily getting to yell at him for being an idiot...
