Gah! Great Job! So great, that it is now costing me sleep. ^_^ and I don't think my cubs are going to understand a grouchy, sick father for my troubles of staying up to late to finish catching up.
I'm really glad others spelled it out who the heir was, or else I would be waiting another week as I am missing the clue in chappy 42. I had thought since Alex had mentioned there was a way to extend the line that somehow Draco would step into that role, so I'm not entirely surprised, but still...damn. This needs a lot of exploration. However, you are one of the few, rare and talented enough authors to have this make sense in the long run without me screaming foul and that you had retconned something in. Tom Siddell (artist & writer of Gunnerkrigg Court) is the only other I inherently trust on this account.
And for Corona being the other spy - you dropped that hint so large when you threw Elladona back into the mix (as long as people remembered who she was!). ^_^ Thank you for at least making that one easy. =c)
You said something awhile ago in one of the chapters I read in this binge fest. (i just finished rereading from the beginning to here - using the time I feed my newest cub (5 months old!) to catch up). That you were frustrated that your online readers of fanfic weren't turning into paid readers of your fiction. Sadly, you are running into the wall (I feel) of the reason some of us read fanfic in the first place: if we bought our fiction, we would go broke (I remember having this conversation with some of the beta/mods at SIYE when I was over their under a different screen name). We are the ones who are notoriously fussy and take forever to like a new author and despair of finding quality sometimes in all of the sludge out there, so that we wind up faithfully following those who write well, praying that they will someday complete their works. I know I die a little every day when I think about the amount of incredible stories left undone (Like Sovran's "The Meaning of One" - another ambitious project like this one, but one that seems at this point will not be completed as Dave hasn't written a chapter in a long time).
It's really awesome that you took that giant leap that so many online did - making their work online that they love become their job. I think your transition is probably even harder because unlike the others I know that I have done it, you have to change gears entirely: You can't publish the Harry Potter DV whereas many of the other artists I know who made the switch could publish the work they had become well known for.
Please keep plugging away and don't give up on this dream of yours. The more you can get yourself our there, and seriously plug yourself, the more fans you will get. And the more fans you get, more people will turn to your published work. You really are an incredible writer.

I knew it - I knew it - I knew it!!!! Okay, deep breath. Better said - I suspectes Remus to be a heir of Gryffindor since I read about his father beeing so sad about beeing unable to save his wife from a fire way back in "Living with Danger". Also, I am hopeful to see Draco soon!
But right now I am rightout refusing to believe Remus or Danger is really dead. I won't belive it, no I won't!!!
And I will wait very patiently for the next chapter - although I am thinking about your dangerverse all the time right now! So, really, really good work!

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! When you mentioned a younger heir of Slytherin, I thought it might be Luna, and I was right! And there's a certian type of symmetry - the rest of the Pride consists of Heirs of the Founders, so one of them had to turn out to be the younger Heir of Slytherin. Also, Luna made prophecies occasionally, same as Alex. And I knew there was more going on behind the secenes with Luna and Draco and that all was not as it seemed. As to Remus and Danger, I won't believe anyone of the Pack and Pride is truly dead until the last chaper. After all, there can be plenty of plot twists before it. Another doubtful death is Dumbledore's - I haven't forgotten Meghan touching his tomb, feeling warmth, and Fawkes' hint.
Please tell me that the DE's that went into Voldie's wizard space last chapter to capture the Pride got wiped when it collapsed this chapter. That would totally be a case of hoisted on your own petard.

I was right, I was right, yes! Now so long as my guess of Remus and Danger not being dead is correct, we're on our way to Happyville. Still touring Angsttown, but that's okay. It's a decent place, Angstville, I wouldn't want to live there, but the vacations are always emotionally packed!

Holy moly! How did she get free? I guess it's back to my questions on an earlier chapter, about somebody having way too much volition for what they seemed to be.
I dunno. I thought you were going in a different direction than Rowling, but here we are with the older generation that Harry relied on getting killed off, one after another, just as in canon. It's the traditional the older generation must go so the younger one is forced to grow into its potential.
But I'd hoped for better.

I've just finished re-reading the main stories of the Dangerverse, only to arrive at this horrible moment in the narrative. Yes, JK. Rowling killed off Remus as well but she never made me care about the character as much as your story did. I'm hoping that all is not as it seems but there is little doubt that Remus is dead and Danger will soon follow. Can I question the wisdom of killing off your main characters? I recall a line where Danger was called the "bearer of hope" and I thought that was your clever way of foreshadowing a daughter - otherwise why bring up Aletha's "solution", unless you were trying to throw your readers off. Thank you for creating such a compelling twist on a familiar fictional world. As much as I anticipate the end, it will be bittersweet. Of course, I can always read it again,,,

*grins* Nicely done, Luna! Are you going to tell us what the embroidery was next chapter, or soon? I'm sure that had something to do with things. I also want to know what Bellatrix saw, though given that the Heir's Consort is here I have a few ideas. Also, I bet little Draco and Neenie just got the mother they were wishing for, and possibly a father too...

Ave atque vale, Remus John Lupin, Lion's Son. Great glory is yours.
As for the rest of the chapter, insert many noises of realisation here. Particularly if the Younger Heir and Consort are who I think they are. Curious to see how it happened, but that's one thing that you definitely didn't tell me. :P
What was going on with Bellatrix, though? Why her sudden realisation? Also why was Harry suddenly in the dreamworld with Voldie? (I'm assuming that was Harrycrux Voldie in there?)

Wow. Thank you for the hint. I wanted to believe, but couldn't dare. Can't wait for the rest of it!

Oh. My. Goodness. Please don't let everything be what it seems! But then, you do plot twists that are so twisty that they may as well be knots...

I did think it was Luna, but for some reason, I couldn't find any evidence to support it. Or maybe you said something to throw me off the scent. I still don't want to believe that Remus is gone, and that Danger is beyond saving. I think that will hurt more than anything else. She has always been there, and we know her even better than we know the cubs at this point. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! I come out of this chapter only more confused than usual. another review will follow over on ff.net tomorrow after I have slept. And reread the chapter another few times. I have so many hopes, and only a little belief that some of them will come true.

That is what you do to me, dear author. OH MY GOD. Now I'm gonna go back and re-read this to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Well, at least Remus was able to buy Harry enough time... I hope Ron and Harry are able to help Ginny work through what she had to do. And yes, I'm very very afraid over what will happen between Lucius and Remus.... Will we find out what Luna's stitching means as well? Until the next one!

Oh my goodness, the scariness! I love how you captured the emotions of the people left behind (i.e. Danger and Hermione). Also, I'm really not sad about the character death, but sad for the person responsible. Secondly, I want to say that owing to technical tangles, this is my first review of Dangerverse despite having been an avid reader for what must be more than five years. To make up for a lack of reviews for this (appallingly large) amount of time, I want to say that I am the proud owner of Anne B Walsh originals, that I love your writing and that you are a very talented writer (in my humble opinion!) I can't wait for the grand finale of this awesome series. Although I will be very sad that it has to end, I'm certain that, like the originals you write, they will stand up to lots of re-reads!

We're definitely nearing a climax now! I very much look forward to the Lupin-Malfoy conversation, and good luck to Ginny and the rest with that Horcrux, too. They're almost finished with them, right? I may have to go back and reread so I can count Horcruxes.

This was a good chapter. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the next one so much, when Remus pays the price for distracting Voldy.

"Character death". Right. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy (well... maybe one)
