Thank you for the note on where to find the prophecy!

You're getting a little *too* good at writing obscurity into those, I think. (No, actually I admire the skill that goes into making them get progressively less easy to interpret line by line, I'm just frustrated by my inability to be a smartypants all the time and figure it out.) Draco is going to give someone a baby mole? What?

When you're writing one of these prophecy-based fics, do you write the story first, then the matching prophecy? Or does the prophecy come first?

Thank you for all these lovely updates!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I think out the story first, definitely. I could never be as sneaky as I am in the prophecies otherwise. As for writing... it goes brain, fingers, screen. I don't hoard chapters, except in my mind.

Seems like the action in one world is already starting....^^ Or finally? Whatever. It was great, that's all that matters!
I, as always,. can't wait to read the next chapter!
Cya!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Next chapter coming as soon as it can be written!

I think Harry speaks for all of us...Hope you are not too tired to update again soon (hint, hint).

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yeah, this is a definitely not good development.

hehe great chapter! who wrote the note? Peter?

wow super dementors! that's exciting and scary at the same time

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yep. And good, that's what I was after!

Aww^^ This sounds pretty good to me! A lot like Danger and Remus - and I love it, love it, love it!
I can't wait to find out how this all will turn out in the end... and I hope Remus and Tonks will survive this bloody war - otherwise I'll hate you forever and even a bit longer!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Aww, no hating me. Please.

Remus and Harry have the same "I don't deserve whatever good things happen to me" attitude.
I'm glad they've both got someone to keep their heads on straight.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Me too, which is why I set it up like this...

One rollercoaster coming up! *have I ever mentioned that I'm afraid of heights?*

This was such a sweet bit and the spell is clearly from one of your other master pieces but a great intergration.

Luna....must have been mesmerizing to see her do the diaper 'play' LOL

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Sorry. The big red get-out button is at the top right of your screen with a white X in it. *looks sweet and innocent*

Am I detecting the possibility of Lupis side effects? Yes, this is soon enough for me. You are doing quite well! OO, final action coming up soon? Yay!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Not this time--it isn't as tight a bonding. And yes, final action, and some explanation of loose ends from earlier, coming soon.

(Blinks blearily and tries again to understand) OK, I get the part about the werewolf-controlling aspect, but what gets controlled in the other partner, if anything? And if nothing, is there a reason other than "make it fair" that the spell(s) go both ways? Or was it just that the two-way thing was a prerequisite for it being non-Dark?

And may you be darned to heck for at least three minutes for the fact that I have been haunted by Phil Harris's voice singing things Baloo should never sing for the last several days.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Aie heck. It is all around me. The controlling on the other partner is indeed "just" to make it fair, but tell the truth--would you want someone, anyone, to have actual control over you, no matter how much you loved them? Everyone's got a dark side. This way, when they're both human neither of them controls the other one. It's only when Remus goes out of control, ie full moons, that Tonks' ability to control him kicks in.

You do love to cross your AU's don't you? Just when I thought I knew what was going on, too. Not that I have any clue what is happening, you understand. I think that the spells would link Tonks and Remus like Danger and Remus are linked in the DV. Sounds good, and it sounds like Tonks managed to convince him.

I'm looking forward to more action; it's even more chance for me to be completely lost. Some day, in an alternate universe, when I have lots and lots of free time, I'm going to go back and reread this whole story and try to keep up. I don't know if I'll be able to, because you weave a convoluted story like no one else. I think in this case it's the switching back and forth between realities that gets me.

I also love reading all the other reviews, because I find out things that I missed (and there are definitley a lot of those).

Anne B. Walsh replied:

That's almost exactly it. The spells will allow Tonks to control Remus on full moons, and will mean that they have limited communication abilities mind to mind, more in times of stress. Wonder what might happen at the final battle...

AnnaTigg posted a comment on Tuesday 18th August 2009 7:17pm

Oh wow, a spell that has pretty much the same effect as Danger's taming...and you're right, Tonks in full flow shooting down Remus' arguments at the end of HBP is not that different from Danger. Am now holding on tight in preparation for next chapter, as requested (is a big loop in the ride coming up?)

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yep, things are about to get loopy!

I was on vacation and I have to say, I really missed this story while I was away. I liked Luna's description of Draco, it was really sweet! Anyways, great job, and update soon!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Well, she is in love with him. Is now soon enough?

Ryan Illuser posted a comment on Monday 17th August 2009 10:39am

Nice. That's really all I have to say this chapter was great, a break from all the tension.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

The tension will be back but yeah, I thought they could use a break.

@carolebear:
I subscribed to fanficauthor's RSS feed (via Firefox and the Brief addon)... it updates every hour.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Probably a good idea while the email alerts are borked up.

And if you're not easily offended, the name of the song is "The Bastard King of England"... :)

For that matter, if you're not sure you can be offended at all , check out "The Ball of Kirrymuir" aka "Four and Twenty Virgins" aka "The Bloody Ball" aka several other monikers.

Why yes, the spider IS a folksong (and filksong) fan.

And hooray for Narcissa... Just hearing from her is probably helping Draco a good deal.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

I know it as "The Ball of Ballynoor" and it's the next offering on the list. *grin* Golly, the great stuff you learn at the Medieval Faire...

carolebear posted a comment on Sunday 16th August 2009 12:34pm

Oh good lord, that song was everything you said it was and more! I have to wonder if they knew what they were singing or were just too drunk to care.

Again, I must not be remembering something from an earlier chapter, but is Draco being baptised or knighted? The ceremony which they are talking about seems like it could be either. (I am leaning toward baptism, with Danger and Remus as godparents.)

I'm loving the fast updates - one of the first things I do when I turn on my computer is check, because I'm still not getting the e-mail alerts until a few days later. I do a little happy dance when I see one!

Anne B. Walsh replied:

They were just drunk enough to think it was hilarious. They'll all be embarrassed in the morning but they really needed it. And I shall never tell, never, never!

BaltaineShadow posted a comment on Sunday 16th August 2009 9:44am

Somehow I think I'm gonna look up those lyrics - and if it's only to find out what kind of stuff Remus knows besides what we already knew... And the scene was really amusing to read.^^
Draco seeing Cecy again was such a good scene - my eyes still start to sting when I think about it... and the way Cissy used Cecy's body to make her son realise the best way to punish Lucius would be to let him live and slowly be consumed by his guilt. It also gave him somehow a chance to let her go.
I can't wait for the next chapter - it would be great if it could be posted just as fast as this one! Two chapters at one day - great!

Hope to hear of you soon, Baltaine

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Song is good but quite dirty. And I shall try to post again tonight, but no guarantees!

ClarenceRose posted a comment on Sunday 16th August 2009 9:03am

Ha, good party.
What exactly is the ceremony thing Draco's about to do?

Anne B. Walsh replied:

It's what it sounds like. He's joining the "good guys" permanently.

HGRHfan35 posted a comment on Sunday 16th August 2009 6:46am

Oh well, Luke Skywalker wasn't it but I had the same thoughts as Draco had, at least. :D
And he will use a Force. It's just his inner Force!

But his reasons for being Luke is much more beautiful and memorable, I must give him that.

Thank you for these swift updates. Brightens the weekend.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yep! And you're welcome. One more coming up, I think!

Musta posted a comment on Sunday 16th August 2009 2:16am

I'd be willing to look up the song lyrics...if I knew where to check!

Good chapter, as always, though I'm a bit confused by the ritual Draco is about to undertake. Adoption? I can't remember, it's been so long...

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Just search on a phrase or two and you should get it.
