I don't think that orb is really from Tonks. A rune translated into "blood", and Draco acting slightly smeagol-ish. My Precious...It might be from Lucius. I'll find out soon, I'm sure...

This is one of my favorite sections you have ever written. The beauty of the words you use, the perfect parallelism. "Into the midst of life came death and into the midst of death came life." I have certainly read this section half a dozen times and yet it alwas brings tears to my eyes.

If ever you are looking for story sections to rewrite into original short stories, this would be a phenomenal candidate. The specific identity of the characters is not essential, the writing is powerful and beautiful, and the magic used fits in with a general mythology setting.

Huh. I forgot about Harry's reaction to the Gryffindor jewel, and his ability to put out fire wandlessly. But Remus is confirmed as the heir now (right...?) Or is there more than one heir of Gryffindor?

I forgot how much I like the Blaise/Colleen romance :-) do we ever get to hear Blaise's full backstory?

just on my reread after the latest Surpassing Danger Chapter (57) and that Dream (yes capitals) of Draco's is indeed prophetic.

I can't believe all the twists and turns that you have written into this storyline.

I've said before that I think Percy's character journey is one of the most interesting and well handled aspects of this series. I'm really enjoying seeing it all unfold again, especially since I can pay a bit more attention to the smaller plot strands now I know the main arc pretty well.

Oh, I love that scene, where they do the trouble giving dance to Snape. Possibly my favourite comedy moment in the 'verse.

Interesting that they dream of canon when they're ill. I'd forgotten about that; it's a nice touch. Also, I wonder if the last portion of Draco's dream is prophetic...? Bad dreams like that seem to have a habit of coming true in this 'verse, like Hermione's with the cup of Hufflepuff and Harry's with Draco running away and Padfoot being angry...

Oh gosh, I'd forgotten how heartbreaking it is when they're all split up :'( this is definitely the hardest part in the series to read, I want to cry for them!

Ooh. So has Neville got the twin to Meghan's wand? Also, do we find out which person Dumbledore was referring to when he said they were too cooperative?

Anne B. Walsh replied:

Yes, Neville and Meghan have brother wands. And Dumbledore means Slughorn, for which he needs Harry's help...

Hey, how did Danger react to getting that letter?

I love that the spell to make the "Marauder's Compartment" larger translates to "god they are annoying". I had to read it twice to make sure I wasn't mistaken, although I suppose it could mean "they are annoying gods"-but that makes far less sense, and probably doesn't work with the endings.

Anne B. Walsh replied:

They were attempting to say "The Marauders are gods"... as you have noticed, it didn't quite work out!

Did we ever find out whether Vilias was supposed to die?

Hi, Blaise!

"He told me once that he prefers pleasant surprises to unpleasant ones. Therefore, he’d rather work with students, who are expected to be immature and often surprise him pleasantly by showing a great deal of maturity, than with politicians, to whom the reverse applies." *giggle* And then the chapter takes a nosedive into angst. It really has been far too long since I've read these stories; I'm remembering how much I love them.

Haha, you forgot "our children want to help you children become illegal animagi" on you list. And Harry wishing he was pureblood! Priceless!

Something seams ominous to me about that glass globe...
